Monday Morning August 2nd

Well Sunday was a fine day of worship both at Cornerstone in the morning and then again online at BridgePoint later in the evening. We initially started with the morning service at BridgePoint on line but had to cut it short as we headed out for in house worship at 10. We finally got to hear our Seminole campus pastor speak as it seems the other two campus pastors take turns speaking on Sunday's. The praise and worship music was awesome at both services. After church we met up with Jake, Katelyn and Skylar at the Pizzeria in Sparta for lunch.  Skylar is becoming much more independent now that she is walking but just such a cutie.

We made a grocery run for a few items at the Food Lion in town which is the only grocery and they are packed every time we stop. We picked up a few specials one being boneless rib eye's which usually are so delicious. We are getting together with the Luffman's on Tuesday evening for supper and games at Mechelle's and then we are having the Frankis Family here on Wednesday for supper and games. We aren't having any over night guests until we get back from Virginia sometime around the 3rd week in August which is kind of nice for a spell.

We sat and read after getting back from Sparta on the front porch for a couple hours as this front brought a little rain shower while we were at church and it cooled things down to where it was almost perfect. I had taken my early morning solo hike but we took off around 4'ish for our together hike to the top and dropped off a jar of jelly for Roddy and Kathy on top of the mountain. We visited with Ben and Laura for a few as they were also on a hike. He and Nancy both have some racing heart issues and are on the same meds while he is also fighting a form of blood cancer. He is active at 83 but the heart meds have slowed him down considerably.

We came back and had a lite supper actually I finished up the leftover pizza from lunch and Nancy had a rollup of deli meats. I settled into the Ray's vs Boston game and it was an exciting down to the last out at the Trop in St.Petersburg. The Ray's swept the once division leaders 4-3 in a close game. It was shower time for at the end as Nancy had been on the phone with Seminole neighbor Carol for the whole game. She is having a few issues with her foot/leg and must wear a boot for a spell. Seems they have left BridgePoint for now and they are also free of their boarders(The Tracy's) as they have purchased a place in Clearwater. It seems Kathryn is doing much better which is an answer to prayer.

Well that was about it for another day. The weather is supposed to turn much cooler with another front coming in on Tuesday with some rain. I will mow today(Mon.) and weed whack. The green beans will be ready for harvesting by the end of the week and the recently sowed Bibb lettuce seeds are showing colors. I think I killed the yellow jacket nest as I've seen no activity since I doused their hole with gas on Friday night, LATER
