Well not much to write about except Rain Rain and then more Rain, oh well at least so far there has been little or no wind which would undoubtably bring down more trees along the parkway. It's pouring buckets as I make this post and hasn't stopped for nearly 24 hours. Wow if only some of this rain could make it to the west coast where it could be used to refill the dams and prevent the fires.
The big news for the past day or so is the Cat 4 hurricane that struck the panhandle of Florida. It's kept our guests here for another couple days as the interstates are probably flooded from the storm and of course the flash flooding here in the mountains. I haven't been able to check the rain gauge but I know its getting close to over filling. I spent about an hour at the dentist having this temporary filing removed from the root canal about 8 weeks ago. This has been one expensive tooth since it already had a crown, Oh well. At this rate my mouth full of teeth has more value than my bank account.
Nancy was at the hair dresser having a cut and color so I was off to the library after a quick lunch at Burger King. Their chicken sandwiches are delicious. I picked her up around 2'ish and then we made a stop at Food Lion for some goodies before heading back to the cabin where we read and watched the storm hit Florida and then got into a game of Kings on the Corner before supper.
I pulled the grill under the back porch and grilled peppers and onions for steak fajitas, yeow very good and grilled to perfection. After the cleanup we tuned into the Fox Cable News until it was time to hit the shower for me and then some read time Greg Isles, LATER
