Pictures from the backyard!!

These were taken on Tuesday before the big rain storm which settled in today(Wed.)

Wednesday Morning

Well Tuesday was another typical hot, sunny and muggy day with temps up into the high 80's. There still is not rain despite a chance of it however this morning I awakened to to thunder and lightning and now the skies have finally opened up with some much needed rain. It's not a great morning for traveling to northern part of the county to see a specialist for Nancy, but hopefully the slick roads will be washed by the time we leave around 9'ish.

I started the day with my normal routines of a hot cup of turmeric herb for the joints and I do believe it's helping as I've cut using almost all any pain meds. Occasionally a couple naproxen. I was using them daily in the morning and evening especially for my knees and shoulder. I did my few quiet moments to honor my Creator and to remember those who need some special considerations and then the posting of this ramble before having a lite breakfast of cereal and fruit. I headed out on my bike to the Rec. for some two hours of pickle ball and we had two courts in action which kept me on the court for most of that time. The morning temps were just beautiful as I rode out and the heat and humidity usually abates by early morning as the birds were singing and the fresh smells of flowers and flowering trees gave off their delicate scents. My white orchid which is blooming has such a delicious aromas almost like honey suckle or the awesome smell of citrus trees. By the time I left the Rec. at 10 the nice morning had quickly turned into heat and humid conditions which only increased the rest of the day until late evening.

Nancy picked up GG after her workout and met with Amy, Eliza and Cindy at Olive Garden for lunch. GG wanted to treat them for a lunch before Cindy leaves for Kansas on Thursday. I offered to watch Eliza Faye and now they wished they had left her with me but despite her two year old personality they survived albeit with some moments of discipline for her. Nancy stopped by the house after lunch and then took GG home after a couple stops. I finished the read about the mormon father who was responsible for his wife's disappearance and has never been found then he killed his two young son's and finally himself. What a horrible man and his father was as much to blame as was the son for this tragedy.

Well we got an invite over to the Tracy's for cheesecake and to watch the Lightning vs Islanders in the third round of the playoffs at 7 o'clock. We picked up Dan and Carol on the way as well after a supper of salad. They have a contract on their beautiful three story condo and this will probably be out last time there. They will be traveling for most of this summer as well as staying in the mountains for a couple of months at a rental place they have stayed at the past couple of years. So we will see them a lot this summer as well. We stayed until the end of the second period which had the score tied at 2 a piece then left for home.

I tuned in to the final period after a hot shower and watched our team come from behind to send the game into overtime and then we scored in the first couple of minutes giving us the win. We are now 2-1 in the best of 7 series and will definitely come back to Tampa for a couple more games and hopefully move on into the semi-finals for the Stanley Cup, LATER

Here are a few pictures of the gardens bounty and white orchid bloom. Well for some reason my pictures didn't come through so I will post later!!
