Wednesday Morning July 7th

Well It looks like the west coast of Florida is getting hit by this Tropical Storm Elsa which thankfully is some what disorganized after being down graded from a Cat 1 hurricane. The rain will be a factor for a couple days but will help keep things cooled off for this time of the year.

Tuesday here in the mountain was ideal with bright sunshine cool temps to start the day and then it got rather warm in the afternoon, nothing unbearable but we did work up a sweat as we hiked the mountain together around 4'ish. I started the day with a before 6 rollout to my morning routines  of a cup of hot green tea while I posted this ramble, some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting up several by name. It seems our dear friend Kathryn is finally getting stronger but she still has breathing issues with some lung damage. We aren't sure if its irreversible or not as she is waiting on further testing. Everyone else is holding to our knowledge.

I took off on my non stop early morning hike to the top of the mountain where I tell GOD who I am and talk with Him for a few. I'm afraid He might answer me with a voice from the heavens but would like to see some answers to the problems facing our nation with corrupt politicians. I know He will surely fix those issues in His perfect timing and we are starting to see some break throughs as folks are realizing we as a nation have been sold a corrupt administration by the evil MSM. Hopefully good will win in the end for America.

We headed to Sparta so Nancy could get a haircut and coloring so I dropped her off and headed to the library for some new reads and then picked her up for lunch at JB's eatery next door. Some friends from church came in and sat with us as the place was nearly full. We have know Sandy and Jimmy since Cornerstone was started and they are awesome lovers of Christ. We shared some info on all thats happening in our lives then headed to the grocery once again for a couple items before returning back to the cabin. I had hung a load of laundry on the clothesline and what a comforting site as I grew up with that site. The day was perfect for drying. I did set and read for a couple hours during the heat of the day on the porch where a nice breeze kept us comfortable. Nancy eventually turned on the a/c for the evening and night.

Neighbors Grant and Shirley came by for a visit after supper and stayed until almost 9:30. We showed them the mini split a/c and gave them all the details as they are thinking about having one installed in their cabin. Shirley's health is deteriorating before our very eyes as she can barely get up the steps without assistance. She has always been a heavy lady but now it affecting her ability to walk and climb stairs. She and Grant are such great folks and it breaks our heart to see her in such sad shape. Grant is holding thus far but with having to do all of the work it's wearing on him. We were in the driveway as darkness fell and heard a Whipper Will for the first time in many months. What a lonesome sound.

I soon hit the shower after they left and settled into a new read about Buford Pusser the Walking Tall Sheriff from Tennessee. It's another side to him which isn't the most favorable as reported by folks who lived and knew him but the movie made him out to be a hero. Pictures and news report were over looked as he was made famous for TV, oh well its seems everyone has two sides to their story and this side of Pusser isn't exactly honorable. I turned the lights out at 10 and was soon gone for the night as those two hikes and the up and down the yards have me worn down but great for sleeping, LATER

In the circle drive I have cucumbers and squashes and they are setting fruit. I should have plenty of both for when Bobby and family arrive on Friday
