Sunday (Mothers Day)

Well Saturday started us out with the sad news that Nancy's Uncle Warnie had passed on during the early the morning hours. He was 93 years young and had been in great shape right up until the last week. He loved gardening and his grow boxes as I write are filled with vegetables for the family. He requested there be no funeral service only a celebration of his life with patriotic songs so his immediate family decided to do so on the 4th of July when Nancy's mom(GG) will be there and we will be able to drive up from the cabin. I contacted a nursery there in Lancaster and had them deliver a continuing blooming Lilac to his residence. I never heard of one but they are supposed to be beautiful. Our Lilac's always bloom before we get there in the Spring and we never get to see or smell them.

After a breakfast of egg tortillas we got ready to head over to Sam's Club for some gas and some goodies we will be serving today as we celebrate Mothers Day with all of the family. We stopped by and dropped off some stuff for GG as well on the way home. After a lite lunch I headed out to detail the truck with a wash and wax job, vacuuming and some new floor mats. That kept me busy until nearly 3 pm. I was under the big oak in the front yard which kept me mostly in the shade so it made for comfortable working conditions.

Dan and Carole picked us up at 4:30 and we headed over to a new restaurant called the Red Mesa Inn on 4th street. It's a Mexican eatery and I thought the food was superb and luckily Patrick and Kathryn were there early to reserve a table for us as there was a large line waiting to get in. The food was hot and spicy just the way I like it and we had unlimited salsa and chips to start with as well. Patrick was such a sweet guy as he had 3 long stem red roses brought to the table; one for each of the gals. He made all kinds of points with that move but soon loss them when the boys beat the gals 5-1 in Sequence and then he won the game of golf big time as well.

It was a fun evening but somehow I picked up a little congestion in my chest either from allergies or a summer cold, hopefully it isn't contagious as I don't feel sick. We headed home around 9:30 and then I called it a day. We head over to Tampa this morning to Element Church as it's baby dedication day and we have several new little ones. Bobby will teach today and this will probably be his last time for awhile as he is stepping down from his leadership in the church. He will still be a member or owner but will have others doing the teaching(preaching) for a time until he and Jill decide what is going to happen in their marriage. Keep both of them and the church in your thought and prayers, LATER
