Well Tuesday was a bit nippy with temps in the upper 40's to start the day. There was plenty of sunshine but the breeze made it feel colder with the dry air. I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out and then after my normal routines and a few quiet moments I pedaled out to the rec for 2 hours of pickle ball. We had 3 courts in action with a couple players waiting to get on through out the morning, wow what a good workout and I was whupped by 10 AM.
I hand watered the gardens when I got back and settled into read while waiting for Nancy to get in her workout. Amy picked up GG and brought her and the kiddos for a lunch of frozen pizzas with fresh mushrooms added, yeow were they ever delicious with a garden salad on the side. Little Eliza was her charming self as we played together after lunch. After they left to pick up Ava from school Nancy and I read the afternoon away until it was time to prepare supper.
I cut my first broccoli head and wow was it ever tasty and one head was big enough for the two of us along with sauteed fresh yellow squash with onions and parsley taters. That was the first I've eaten taters in a several weeks as we had a meatless supper. Everything was superb especially the broccoli. After the clean up we settled into Fox News and saw where the radical Islamist have struck another deadly blow in Libya and now have personally threatened the potus. I wonder when he is going to finally call them what they are Islamic terrorist. Our friends an ally in Israel must be wondering why this administration is so publicly against them and yet so friendly to Iran. For the life of me I do not understand this man and his policies that continue to appease those who want to destroy us. You would think after their actions on 9-11-01 we would be better prepared to know what the intentions they have for us. How quickly we forget what happened on that day and I'm so disappointed that we continue to allow them to even exist.
Well I found a new author who writes of our era and his stories are exciting as well. I finished a book titled NICK'S TRIP by George Pelecanos and it's a good read, a real page turner although at times with the main characters smoking and drinking I wondered how he ever managed to function, LATER
