Well its finally happened here in America; the Islamic terrorists have sent a message that we are not safe from their reach even as our potus stresses they are no threat to the homeland and that climate change is our biggest fear. Will somebody wake this arrogant, inept person up who was some how elected to lead the country.
Well Wednesday saw me awake at my usual time of 6'ish. Sleep has become a little better as the knee seems to be responding to ice packs, rest and ibuprofen. I'm able to walk around without a lot of pain but I do miss my daily physical activity. I'm hoping by the weekend I can at least do some sort of physical activity of either walking for some period of time or riding my bike. I'm really watching my eating habits as well with portion reduction as I don't want to add any additional weigh while recuperating. It was pretty much the same as the past couple days with my morning routines of a few quiet moments, the posting of this ramble and a lite breakfast before heading out to hand water the gardens. We are in need of some rain but luckily my well is flush with water so I continue to water twice a day by hand.
I've been reading true stories of the mafia and their crime families in and around the northeast and mainly the New York area which has kept me entertained to a degree. The "omerta" or silence is unbelievable with the old school families and their members. To break that silence was several bullets in the back of the head and then your body was dissolved with acid, chopped up for fish bait and dumped in the ocean or buried some place in a building site and if you were a big wheel you were left on the street in a pool of blood as a warning to obey "omerta". Yikes, once you were in it was very difficult to get out of that life and it wasn't just a style but a life decision.
We were alone for lunch and supper for a change as GG was singing with her ensemble and Amy was running errands with Eliza in tow. We finished up the leftover shepherds pie for lunch and I grilled a couple wild caught Salmon fillets with a garden salad for supper. We were glued to the TV after hearing of the mass shooting in California in the early afternoon and I had a gut feeling when it was mentioned the perps were wearing clothes fitting to what the terrorist wore in France and with the obvious planning and merciless killing of unarmed folks with automatic rifles. We have had no leadership at our highest level with regard to taking out this bunch of radical Islamist or even to admit they are a threat to us. We have placated and dismissed them as a JV team, used the term contained and down graded, yet here they are in the homeland and the potus wants to bring another 100,000 or more Syrians here as refugees. That is the country where the terrorists train to wreck havoc on the innocents. Will somebody explain to me why impeachment proceeding haven't been started against this potus and criminal charges against Hillary!
Well I guess I had better get ready to become even more disillusioned with our leadership in D.C. as they destroy the coal industry and the thousands of families who depend on that natural resource which will cause more dependence on the government welfare when they are deemed destitute because of this made up climate change. This administration is successfully creating an environment of distrust from our allies around the world that we are weak and now with this intrusion into the homeland we will see more of these types of lawlessness and will become fonder for those who want us destroyed from within as well as abroad.
