Wednesday Morning Feb 3rd

Well Tuesday was a bit of the taste of our Florida winters. It was chilly all day with that strong northern breeze and at time quite blustery. I don't believe it ever reached 60, but at least the sun was shining for the most part. I didn't do a whole lot outside except hand water the gardens after harvesting the last of the Bibb lettuces and then cleaning them and putting a salad together while Nancy shopped for Bobby's birthday which is today. He is 40 years old, yikes where did that time go?

I started the day much the usual with a later than usual roll out. I suppose it was the warmth of that extra blanket which contributed to sleeping in until nearly 7. I rushed to get in partially some of my routines before heading out before 8 on my bike to the Rec and two hours of pickle ball play. I had a great workout and left with a wet shirt and head. I stopped off at the library for a couple new reads so instead of watching what this incompetent potus Biden is doing to destroy America in the biased MSM, I read in the afternoon and evenings after supper. I do check the internet to get the news which is quite depressing when I think of how these criminals in the congress are destroying this nation because of Trump's exposing their corruption. Never would I have believed we have so many former potus's and elected officials who hate this man so much so as destroy our very country. It's totally depressing and to think we have so many patriots who drink the kool aid for the dem's and Biden as well.

We had a frozen fully cooked turkey since Christmas in the the freezer so as to make room for Nancy's lasagnas we thawed it out and had it for supper. It was delicious and very moist despite being in the freezer for a couple months. It was one of those give aways from Publix and it turned out very well. We had asparagus and smashed taters with it for our supper. I finished up the ALONE series on the History channel and the fellow who won the million bucks had to outlast 9 other folks and stay 100 days in the Arctic alone with just 10 items plus clothing. He was close to 50 years of age and outlasted everyone and despite temps well below the sub zero with blizzards he managed to stay warm; eating rabbits, squirrels, fish, musk ox and porcupines. He was a survivalist and I relished at his endeavors and did so vicariously.

Well that was about it for this day. Our son Bobby was born on this day in 1981 and I thought the world of having a son and then a daughter came along in 1983. I'm a blessed man having them and 7 grands among them. I always wanted kids and I always hoped to be the best father of which I never had except for an aunt and uncle who took me in at an early age and gave me a chance in life. At times it wasn't the best of situations but I survived and learned how to work and make it on my own. GOD has been good to me and I'm thankful daily as I lift up those who are less fortunate. I give Him all the credit for carrying me in those times when I needed a spiritual father instead of an earthly one , LATER
