They all got here around lunch time after spending the night in Columbia, S.C. They had a good drive and found the cabin on their own. Nancy had a big pot of vegetable soup on the stove and we delved into that and put a hurting on that pot. Wow was that ever tasty and warmed you right up. We decided we were too full to hike so we got into a game of domino's which kept us busy for the next couple hours. Nancy had a pork roast in the oven which smelled awesome despite the full tummy's.
We made it to the top of the mountain after several rest stops as Eric and Betsy weren't use to the climb. We stopped and took some pictures along the way and noticed one of cabins open with the key in the door. There was no one around but it looked as if it was being used. We were surprised to see the door with no car in the drive and no one walking around the place. Anyhow the key used to open the cabin was not the one we use to open the door so we were satisfied the cabin was not being broken into.
We came back and finished the domino game and Nancy came from behind and won the game just before we got ready for supper. The pork roast smelled great and the sauerkraut filled the cabin with an awesome smell. The eatin' was great along with the smashed taters, kielbasa and hot dogs. We got into another game after the dishes were washed and put up. We played Phase 10 and Nancy won that game as well. It was after 10 before we finished up the game and it was shower time for me as I had slept little last night due to the over indulgence of ice tea. The caffeine had my system up all night long as I seldom drink tea except for my daily cup of green tea in the morning.
We had the Giants vs the Cardinals game on and it looks like the Royals will be playing the Giants in the world series starting next week. Hopefully it will be close and the series goes at least several games, LATER
