Thursday Morning- Christmas Eve

Well Wednesday was another hot and muggy day here on the Suncoast of Florida as temps once again reached the middle 80's with tons of humidity. It sure looked like it could rain for most of the day but nary a drop fell on us. I helped to entertain the three Ross grand kiddos as they came for lunch and then stayed a couple hours playing with the neighborhood boy, Phoenix. I did get in a bike ride to the library but other than that I never left the homestead.

The day started much the usual with a before 6 roll out for me. Nancy took advantage of the morning and slept in until nearly 8. I did my usual routines of a few quiet moments with my Creator, a daily discipline chapter for personal growth and then the posting of this ramble after a cup of hot green tea laced

with some added turmeric herb. I sure hope this turmeric is the reason my knees are doing better but I believe its because I've backed off on the daily pickle ball action which I will test again possibly as soon as next week. Oh well!!

I headed out to the garden with an apple for my breakfast and hand watered everything as well as gave the new onion seedling a little garden magic and Miracle grow. Onions are big eaters and love lots of fertilizer. The garden is looking great and we will have fresh green beans next week for sure as the new little beans are in abundance as well as we will have fresh collards to eat, Yeow they are definitely one of my favorite leafy green veggies which are packed with cancer fighting nutrients. The kale is almost big enough to pick as well and the cukes are starting to show some growth as well. I've been picking lots of the fresh herbs and I loaded our Salmon fillets I grilled last night for supper with fresh dill. I even added some fresh thyme to our Jasmine rice which accompanied the fish.

Well after the kiddos left for the day we did some house cleaning and made some preparations for tonights Christmas Eve get together with family and friends who will meet here for soups, sandwiches and finger foods some time around 7'ish when we get back from Riverview. Today we travel over to Brandon to have lunch with Katie's family and we are in for a major announcement at this event. I'm so thrilled for Bobby and this relationship which we hope will be great for both of them and his two kiddos., LATER  Here are some chocolate mouse tarts Nancy made for today's luncheon!!!
