Well Friday turned out to be a decent day that allowed me to work outside all day, despite the rather nippy air. By late evening the rain began and by this morning(Sat) there is a good amount of snow and its still snowing. Nancy is so excited that she is outside with her camera taking pictures. It is rather beautiful especially the bare trees that are just covered with the white stuff. If this keeps up I think we will be snowed in for the day as our driveway is rather steep and I don't want to take the chance of sliding off into a ditch.
I spent the morning after a lite breakfast and a few quiet moments blowing leaves off of the backwoods yards. I have a large pile that covers the dry gully. Annsley and Gabe will have a fun time jumping into that pile next week end. It would really be a surprise for them to be here in all of this snow but the forecast for next week is to be moderate temps and maybe even a little above normal. So there will be no snow as of right now which is maybe a good thing as I would hope no ones gets snowed in like we are as of right now.
We got in a hike just before lunch,
stopped and chatted with Joe and Jetta before heading back down off the mountain. Zeke followed us for a little while before turning back to the warmth of his house. I piddled around the new badminton court construction as I leveled out the playing area. I'm excited to try this court out but seems I will have to wait until next year, Oh well!
We had the Luffman's and Mechelle Dalton for a supper of tortilla soup which was just perfect for a chilly wet evening as the were temps dropping quickly. After supper we played the best of 5 games in Sequence and the gals won in a squeaker 5th game. They left before 8 o'clock as it had been a working day for Mechelle. We did the dishes then tuned into the Fox News until it was time for a hot shower then I took a Julie Garwood book to bed and read until 10:30, LATER
