Tuesday

Well Monday was a complete wash out that started during the mid-morning hours and lasted until after we turned the lights out around 11. At times the rain and wind were so strong it seemed as if we were having tornado's in the area. There was a watch for them for most of the day.

I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to cloudy skies but no rain as of yet, so after my routine of a hot cup of tea, a few quiet moments, the posting of this ramble, a lite breakfast of fruit I pedaled out on my bike to the rec. We had a large crowd of players with a couple winter visitors who will be here for a week or so. We had 3 courts going with some very good rallies and of course the wet shirts were in abundance. After nearly 2 hours I headed out for home as the skies became rather dark and the winds picked up.

Well the rain started shortly thereafter so it was stay inside until late evening when we headed over to GG's for supper. Amy, GG and the kiddo's came for lunch and we had salad and turkey sandwiches. Amy took off and ran some errands while we entertained Sam and Eliza. Sam loves the ipad and is easily entertained and Eliza is trying to talk and is just a darling. They left around 2:30 to drop off GG and then pickup Ava from school. Nancy headed to the rec for her workout on the treadmill and I read. I started a new read titled THE MAD SCULPTOR by Harold Schechter.

GG had a corn beef cooking along with cabbage, carrots, taters and salad for supper, yeow was that ever tasty and the beef was superb with a little mustard slathered on top as it baked towards the end. That's the first meal like that in ages and it was cooked to celebrate St. Patty's Day. We stayed around until after 8 before heading home and to another tremendous rain storm. The rain blew so hard it peppered the windows. Well that was about it for Monday except for all the news stories about the Malaysian plane that disappeared without a trace about 2 weeks ago. I'm sort of getting bored with all the speculation and I wonder if that is a distraction for what Russia is doing in her part of the world and to steer coverage away from our inept government leaders and Obamacare, LATER
