Sunday Morning Dec. 1st

Well I just got back from the load in at the college for BridgePoint Church. We had plenty of help this AM so I'm back 30 minutes earlier than last week. What a great group of volunteers and such a joy to serve with in our mission of helping All folks get closer to GOD.

Saturday was another beautiful start to the day with temps in the upper 50's, bright sunshine and heavy dew on the grasses. I rolled out with my usual before 6 start of the day as Nancy was running her chainsaw again since about 4 in the morning, oh well. That is why I go to bed at 10'ish to get at least 6 good solid hours of sleep and rest. I had my morning cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in humble thanks giving and lifting up several by name. All seem as well as can be expected as I write. I got ready and headed to the Rec. for some pickle ball at 8 AM. We had such a large group of players that the 4 better players took one of the portable nets and headed outside to the basketball court which was lined for pickle ball play.

The sun was shining with almost no breeze which made for great play. We played several sets for about two hours non stop and left with a wet shirt and whupped. The play was so much better outside now that the temps are fairly tolerable in the early morning but by lunch time the heat and humidity was oppressive. I did piddle around in the gardens and yards until lunch time and then chilled for an hour or so watching some football. Nancy took off with sister Betsy shopping which is her last day to do so as she heads back to the post office on Monday. She has been off the whole month of November.

Amy and Tyler had us over for a delicious supper of grilled steaks, baked taters, asparagus and broccoli and then ice cream and brownies for dessert. Eliza was showing us all the ornaments on their Christmas tree and also the lights on the house that Sam and Tyler put up. The meal was so tasty and filling as well. We headed out around 8 for the house and then I hit the showers. I watched a little football and the Lightning lost again at home against the 'Canes from N.C. That was about it for the day as I soon was out by 10'ish, LATER
