Well it was a bit chilly Wednesday morning as I rode out to the rec. on my bike with a strong wind out of the north. I'm shocked it's this chilly at this part of March especially after having such hot humid temps a couple weeks ago, oh well.
I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out and the cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric was a welcome on this chilly morning. I did my usual routines of posting this ramble and then a few quiet moments in thanksgiving with my Creator while lifting up several by name. We spoke with all of those during the afternoon and while snow and cold temps are present all seemed in good spirits. Nancy was anxious and excited about having her women's Bible group for a fellowship at 6:30 so she was doing last minute cleaning and prep. We had the house looking good and of course we had done some cleaning out of cabinets and closets which for some reason made the getting ready for them more of a priority. We need to have them more often as we tossed lots of accumulated stuff, cleaned out clothes and games to give to the thrift stores, etc. It's amazing how much stuff one can collect over time that is never used or played with.
I headed out for the rec. before 8 for two good solid hours of pickle ball play and left with a wet shirt and head. Luckily I had a flannel shirt and a ball cap to keep me warm until I got home. I did change out of those wet clothes and then headed out to hand water the garden. The wind was really drying it out. Everything still looks good despite the cold dry wind. Amy and Eliza came for lunch and afterwards I chilled to the reading room for a couple hours. Once they left I did some touch up paint in the kitchen where little grands nick the window seat and then we had an early supper of a frozen chicken pot pie. I hit the showers and then headed out to neighbor Dan's place where we chilled together for the next 3 plus hours. His wife Carol was at the fellowship so we headed over to his daughter house to check out a vehicle that was making a weird noise in the engine area.
We came back and flipped channels watching the Ray's getting beat bad by Boston, some NIT basket ball and a couple car fixer up shows. Finally around 9:30 we got the call the guests had left so we headed down to the house to help with cleaning up and then I got ready for some horizontal lab, LATER
