Thursday Morning Dec 5th

Well Wednesday started out on the nippy side with high 40's and by 10 AM is was very pleasant to be outside in the bright sunshine and that's what I did for the next two hours; working in my garden. More on that later but the back held up nicely as I wore my back brace, now I just need to get back on the court in another week or so.

I started the day with my usual routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus and to give thanks for another day and the pain mainly gone from my back and leg. I did feel a little after standing so much at church last evening but it eventually dissipated after a shower and into bed. All of those I lift up daily seem to be holding and I thank all who have kept me in your prayers as well.

I had a lite breakfast of yogurt and a banana before heading out after the sun had taken the chill out of the air and replanted my cucumber plants back along the chain link fence that had been removed during the big oak removal. I had replanted them in hopes of saving them during that event and while they didn't look great most had good roots. I also replanted some tomato's from seeds in the garden patch along side the house. I still have room for more volunteer tomato plants there as well and last year they did great there or maybe sow some carrot seeds which also did great there a year ago.

I hoed about half of the garden before I started to feel some pain, so I gave it a rest but did hand water everything including the area where the big oak once stood. I miss the tree as it was a friend for 45 plus years, but it really was becoming an issue between Nancy, Amy and the grands as it was messy after a storm and the idea it might blow down during a major storm onto the roof, oh well its gone and I'm out 4 grand. The neighbor's were tickled as well as it could pose a danger to them in a major storm.

I read the afternoon away and then we headed out to S.R.B.C. for our evening get together in a more relaxed setting with a good 25 minute message on Solomon and how he messed up and how that relates to our life and decisions which was called Tipping Points. We had a small group meeting before leaving and getting back home around 8:30. It wasn't long before a hot shower and then some reading before lights out around 10:30'ish, LATER
