Friday

Well Thursday turned out to be one of the finer days with spring like weather once again. The cool morning warmed to the low 70's by late afternoon with a nice gentle breeze that made you want to be outside. I started the day with a 6'ish roll out and then my usual routine  before riding out to the rec for some 2 plus hours of pickle ball. We had 2 courts in action with a couple players waiting to get on as the winners split after each game. I had a soaked shirt by 10 and was ready for a break.

I stopped off at the library before heading home to work outside in the yard and garden. I picked the last of the Romaine lettuce, some kale, black seeded Simpson lettuce, butter crunch,  red leaf and basil to work into a fresh garden salad for lunch. Yeow was that ever delicious with a little chicken salad on top. Amy and the kiddos came and we had a grand time with both Sam and Eliza. She is doing so well with holding her head up and just loves to stare at the pictures on the fridge. She does make a few faces that just crack us up which leads us to believe she is going to be a drama queen.

I headed out around 2 for my chiro appointment with Dr. Wychoff who does a great job in manipulating my spine and neck. He seems satisfied with the progress of my lower back. I can tell a great difference in the loss of pain from the lower back and leg. I will always have some dull pain from the arthritis that will be there forever.

We read until it was time for supper. I picked fresh Brussel sprouts from my garden and we baked the last of the frozen beer battered cod fillets, yeow was that ever tasty. Nancy was on the phone with our "mountain mom" Helen and it seems the weather has finally broke in the mountains. The green grass is evident on the web cam and our flowers should be coming through the ground. I'm starting to get the "mountain fever" although it will be tough to leave this newest grand daughter. After the cleanup I vegetated to the couch and Fox News. It seems once more this administration and its sycophants is covering up for the less than honorable. The attorney general and now certain members of congress who are less than honorable and when found with their actions and sometime inactions dirty they play the race card. Despicable is all I can say.

Well the Ray's were off last night but I did watch the Lightning win their first playoff game by beating Philadelphia by a score of 4-2, LATER.. Thursday is now a TBT(throwback to Thursday day). Here are a few pictures from back in the day. The first one is Bobby holding a less than happy Amy when she was but a few weeks old and the rest speak for themselves.
