Well its early this day and little Sam threw up just awhile ago so Amy isn't sure if they are leaving this AM or not. I gave a little of the spice ginger in some water in hope's that will quiet his tummy and they can head back later this date.
Friday was a rather somewhat subdued day except for the early morning rise with Bobby's gang which pulled out of here a little after 5 AM and we later learned he was back in Brandon around 5 that same day. Many thanks for those who prayed for traveling mercies for them. It was somewhat quieter without them but the Ross kiddos kept us busy as they stay another day. Nancy and I went back to bed and slept in until nearly 8 AM. I did a few quiet moments then posted this ramble before the kiddos came down to start the day. I fried bacon outside on the grill and Nancy made pancakes with berries in the batter along with some cackle berries to round out the "mountain breakfast" as we call it. We decided to visit with the Tracy's after lunch. Patrick made root beer floats for the Ross gang which thrilled the kiddos. They were most impressed with the distance views from their porch and decks.
After nearly an hour visit we headed out to visit the horses at the Luffman Farm. The kiddos were very thrilled with the tameness of the horses and showed no fear of the big animals. We met up with Gerald and Caleb who were moving furniture into the rock house next door to the farm. Gerald blessed us with some scallions and a zucchini squash as we left their place. It was going on 6 before we got back to the cabin and we decided on Salmon fillets along with Jasmine rice and oven taters, fresh green beans and salad for supper. Afterwards Nancy made them hot chocolate as a huge severe storm passed just south of us uprooting trees and downing power lines but it brought a drastic change from the warm temps to where some were wearing sweat shirts. The rain was a welcome relief for the yard and gardens but the wind did destroy one of my squash plants. I managed to tie the tomato's up as well a a pepper plant before the wind up rooted them.
Well after the cleanup from supper everyone watched America's Funniest Videos until it was shower time. I hit the shower and afterwards around 9:30 I retired to the reading room until lights out for me at 10'ish. We are hoping little Sammy's tummy settles down so they can travel home as there is nothing like one child having all three sick while on the road. They had some rather horrible road sickness on the way up and are not looking forward to that happening again. If they don't leave until Sunday it will make little Ava extremely happy as she was crying already about leaving the cabin, oh well, LATER
