Sunday

Well Saturday was another busy day and one that kept us on our toes as we had 2 of our grand children overnight and then again for most of the day. We had a great time together and then we met us with our other 2  grand kids so they could play together at their house before they all came back to our place for a pizza lunch and then to their great grand mothers(GG) house for supper. The only caveat to all of this activity was that Nancy was developing an intestinal bug which developed full blown at suppertime. She had to skip supper and our game time at GG's with all of the family as Arianne and Errol were still visiting from Miami. We headed home shortly after I ate to a night that found her on the commode.

The morning started with the Annsley and Gabe awake around 7 AM. I checked on them at 6'ish and they were in separate beds but shortly thereafter awakened to start the day. Nancy made them buckwheat cakes which Annsley really wanted; however Gabe just wanted cheese eggs and sausage. The sausage was one of their favorites so they ate all of the patties but one which I had secured along with a cake. After breakfast they played until they spotted me out in the yard hand watering the gardens. They both came out while we hung a load of laundry. Annsley was very interested in hanging clothes on the line to dry. I told her about when I grew up on the farm that we only had a clothesline to dry our laundry and that in the winter the clothes would freeze stiff, especially the pants. She got tickled over that.

Amy called and invited us over to play with Ava and Sam while Tyler put the lights up on the outside of the house. I took our neighbors ladder in the back of the truck over for him to use. We left the kids there while we came back and rested as Nancy was starting to feel the effects of her stomach discomfort. We thought her heartburn was acting up again and was debating what to do. We headed over around 1'ish and retrieved Annsley and Gabe while Amy picked up a couple pizzas for lunch. The kiddos played here until it was time for them to head over to GG's around 5.

Well, GG had a baked ham in the oven, Nancy made oven taters rolled in olive oil with rosemary, parsley and thyme. Yikes were they ever tasty. We had leftover spinach casserole and fresh Brussel sprouts and Amy made a huge fresh garden salad. GG also made chocolate pudding in a bowl for dessert. Bobby was especially thrilled as one of his fondest memories at GG's was that dessert when he was about the ages of his kids. He left shortly after eating and giving the kids a bath as he wanted them asleep after the long drive back to Riverview. We headed out after I ate as Nancy was having tummy aches. She hit the showers as soon as she got home and then her sleepless night started on the commode. I hope the rest of us don't acquire this bug as last week everyone but us did have a couple rough days.

Today is our usual day to worship with our church family at Element in Tampa but we will not be making the trip. We will do our usual quiet times and then watch one of the t.v. preachers we usually tune into on Sunday while getting ready for Element, LATER
