Sunday Morning June 12 th

Well Saturday was another beautiful day with cool temps in the early morning with lots of bright sunshine and blue skies. It wasn't much of a work day although I did some small gardening chores but unfortunately 4 of the 8 tomato plants I brought up from Florida wilted and died, so I removed them and was planning on stopping at the produce stand and purchase 4 more on our way home from church; but on our afternoon hike to the top with out Rocky, neighbor Billy had several he had started from seed and could not use them so he blessed us with all that I needed to replace the 4.

I started the day out with a before 6'ish roll out to my usual routines that start with some quiet time after posting this ramble to honor my Lord and give thanks for another day while lifting several up by name. All seem well. Bobby and Annsley and Gabe got back to Florida during the afternoon after being away to camp for the kiddos and he from Arizona with his job. The Ross Family have one more week in Kansas before heading home next week end after a couple of days here at the cabin.

I took Rocky for an early morning hike and then again later in the day. Nancy had clothes outside on the line which was a perfect day for drying. I piddled around in the garden after breakfast which held me until suppertime except for a lunch time snack of peanuts and an ice tea. We had a great hike without Rocky visiting neighbors on top for an hour or more catching up on all thats happened with them the past 7 months. All have aged and are getting over some health issues but seem in good spirits.

Nancy watched the big horse race and then we watched the Lightning win the fourth game in the hockey playoffs to advance to the Stanley Cup finals. Wow what an exciting game and to beat the favored N.Y. team in Tampa. Awesome win for the local team. Today we will pick up Steve at his place as he has been busy finishing the CUBE  as an apartment for them to stay in at times. We will probably eat out in Sparta after church , LATER
