Well Thursday was a mixture of cool morning temps then hit some high temps and by late evening it was almost perfect with bright sunshine and blue skies. The weather here in central Florida is much like N.C. in the summer.
I started the day much the usual with a 6 ish roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent a few quiet moments with my Creator in humble thanksgiving and lifting several up by name. All is well as can be expected due to their advancing ages and losses of memory which comes as a result. I didn't hear anything to the contrary this day so that is good. We need to keep my baby sister Dee in your thoughts and prayers as she is having a total hip replacement on Monday in Virginia.
I headed out on my bike for the rec. for two solid hours of pickle ball play as we only had two courts in action. Many of the players are heading back up north for the summer but we still have a good group of A players so I left whupped with a wet shirt by 10'ish or a little after. I headed home to hand water the front yards and the tree. I'm hoping for a good stand of grass before we leave in June. The sod is looking good but I noticed a couple leaves on the tree had curled and looked dried out and I found out the Crepe Myrtle is susceptible to cold temps and last week we had some after it being so warm for weeks. Hopefully it will bloom but I see no buds yet.
The garden is slowly being used up except now the tomato's are really coming in. I had to dust two of the plants which are head high and so big around it unbelievable. One has over 100 fruit set on it which also is out of the ordinary. My sweet onions bulbs are not doing as well as expected as I pulled one the size of a baseball and half of it was rotten. I think I'll not plant them again as they just require too much time to mature. These that haven't rotted are not making bulbs like they should, oh well. The peppers both green and jalapeno's are producing exceptionally well and I'm giving lots away. The egg plant is setting fruit as well and I noticed several blooms that should set as well.
I grilled onions and peppers for chicken fajitas fo our supper and they were delicious along with fresh garden cilantro and jalapenos for me. Yikes were they ever tasty as I did the onions and peppers in the grill basket. After the cleanup I headed outside to hand watered until dark. We watched some Fox News and now have learned that Comey was a lying leaker to the press and said one thing to our Potus but did something behind his back to exonerate Clinton. The deep state exists in the higher heads of both the Obama administration, the Clinton DNC as well as the DOJ and FBI. It's unraveling for these heads and now some criminal referrals are coming out on many who thought she would win and they never would be exposed. Thank GOD Trump was elected or we would never have found out the collusion and corruption within our government to bring down a political opponent and candidate. This only happens in third world banana republics and it all started with the worst potus ever, Obama and his minions, LATER
