Saturday Morning

Well Friday found us with a slight chill in the air especially as I rode out to the rec around 8'ish on my bike. This front came through and brought us nary a drop of rain which is much needed but did allow us to turn the a/c off an open the windows. The skies were bright blue with plenty of sunshine. I managed a good wet shirt workout on the pickle ball court then made lunch for everyone. Nancy and GG were at the hospital visiting Betsy who was doing quite well with her hip replacement and was even talking of maybe going home later in the day. We were getting ready for our trip to Tampa with Ava, Sam and Eliza Faye where we would watch all 5 grand kiddos for the evening while their parents were busy.

I started the day much the usual with my ever daily 6'ish roll out. After my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while posting this ramble I spent some quiet time with my Creator in humble thanksgiving and lifting up several for comfort and healing. There isn't much to update on Paw Paw's condition except he had the biopsy of his hip to determine the nature of the infection. We should know the results but in the meantime he is still at the VA Hospital being cared for. Betsy, Nancy's sister is doing so well she mentioned the doctor may discharge her within a day of her surgery, amazing.

I had a great workout with mostly B players on the pickle ball court and managed to get a wet shirt by 10 AM. I enjoy helping those who play hard and are still learning the skills to be a tournament or club player. I made a stop at the library for a couple new reads before heading by the Botbyl's to hand water their garden. They are off to Orlando for the long weekend as Dan celebrates his 62 birthday. We were hoping to visit as they had a suite but our plans didn't work out with grand kiddo sitting last evening until nearly midnight and then again today as they all come for cookie making and baking. Bobby is making a homemade pizza crust which is always delicious.

That was about it for the day as we left Tampa a little after 11'ish last night and got back to drop the Ross kiddo's at their house around midnight. I haven't been up this late in many moons. The amount of traffic on the interstate was unbelievable at that time of the night. I guess I'm just getting long in the tooth thinking midnight is real late, oh well. We had a fun time at Bobby's and he made a supper of grilled pork chops, asparagus and tater tots and then Nancy made brownies and I later in the evening when they were watching a movie popped corn for them. Eliza fell asleep but the others were wide awake until we got in the truck for the ride home. Thankfully there were no backups and although we saw several with complete disregard for the speed limit there were no crashes as we travelled back across the bay, LATER
