Well Tuesday was finally another day with out rain, thats two in a row and the gardens and yards are drying out. I managed to do some garden work as I loosened the packed muddy soil around the plants and then transplanted some lettuce seedlings. The deer have been back nightly as they have eaten off the new shoots on the black raspberry bushes as well as many of the flowers in the backwood gardens.
I'm cutting this post short this morning as I'm hooking up with neighbor Gerald and heading down the mountain to meet some of his friends and play pickle ball for the first time since being here in the mountains. We are playing Elkin around 8'ish. I'm going to take it easy as I'm trying to get back into the groove after the back issues and then the clot as a result of the medicine I was taking for the back issues.
We are playing in the morning which is what I prefer and when I usually play in Florida. It's a half hour trip down the mountain so that is a little different. I've been hiking without any issues with the back so I'm hoping this will be good for me, oh me, LATER
