Well Saturday was a fun day in between rain showers and storms and it back to raining again as I speak, so we are now caught up. We now need some cooler temps and dry days. I know I'm hard to please but I will miss my hike this morning due to the rain, oh well. We still have a house full of guests and its been fun with great meals and games through out the day and evenings. It will be a sad day today as Kelly and her family leave back to Fort Bragg. We did celebrate her middle child's 7th birthday last evening with a cook out during the dry evening She is a beautiful girl with blue eyes and so bright.
I did get in a great hike with the guys and Bonnie as we traveled the long route once again the first thing in the morning. Little Eli came down stairs at 6'ish and wanted to hike with me, Mike and his dad . It was no easy hike either but he ran several sections as well and never stopped through out the day. He is a game player as well as are Johana the birthday girl.
Well we ate well and I must say I stayed away from a decadent chocolate birthday cake which was a hard thing to do but I need to lose another inch or so and a pound to get to my goal this summer. The garden is now producing a couple of cucumbers and two squashes. The deer ate off my beet greens in the one garden and trampled it but I think it will survive if and when the rain stops. Seems it been raining most all night, LATER
