Sunday Morning

Well Saturday started out with another dang raccoon in my trap which I hadn't even set with any bait. This is the third 'coon in as many days. What is with these critters so when I brought the cage back after dumping it off at the habitat trail I kept the cage closed. It's a good thing as I messed up my good knee at pickle ball and then too much spading in my garden. Needless to say I have iced it overnight and now I'm taking lots of ibuprofen to help get the swelling down. So I will be laid up for awhile hobbling around like Chester from Gun Smoke.

The morning started with me up at my usual time of before 6 and then a few quiet moments, posting of this ramble and then a piece of pecan pie for breakfast before loading the raccoon up in the back of the truck and dropping it off on my way to pickle ball at the rec. We had 3 courts in action and despite having the knee wrapped (I should have taken the day off) as it was a little sore from all of the garden digging; but I felt I needed the exercise after all of the rich eatin' over Thanksgiving. I will learn one of these days to pay attention to what my body is telling me as I'm know longer as young as my mind wants me to be.

I spent the afternoon on the couch with ice packs and was holding off on any OTC pain relievers but eventually gave in later in the evening as the pain became rather intense. Needless to say there was no sleep over night for me. We did entertain the Botbyl's and Tracy's for a pulled supper and a new word game called Quiddler or something to that affect but after one game my knee was starting to begum a distraction so we called it a night around 9'ish.

I will miss heading over to Riverview to hear Bobby teach this morning as the lead pastor as I was looking forward to that but I'm sure it would be most beneficial for me stay home with my leg elevated and iced. That is about it for here in hot sunny Florida as we have the a/c back on, LATER
