Sunday Morning the first Sunday in May 2015

Well Saturday was just an awesome day with non typical weather for Florida. We actually opened the windows and doors and had them open until late in the evening when the house full of company heated the house up. I spent the biggest part of the late morning and early afternoon helping Tyler take apart and old metal shed and cut some low hanging tree branches and dig up some old shrubs in his back yard.

The morning started with my usual wake up despite staying up late the night before. I rolled out right at 6 and then after my usual morning routines and a few quiet moments I headed out to the back yard and garden to piddle around beautifying that area. I took down more tomato plants and old dried plants as well as fed and watered my new seedlings. I sprayed for some ants that just might come into the house according to Nancy then loaded up the truck with some saws, a pick ax and gloves then headed over to Amy and Tyler's around 11.

We started on that old metal shed that had some serious leaks and was just a roach coach as well. I had bought a new reciprocating saw that could be used to saw metal or wood and that thing is powerful. It sure made it easy to take apart this metal shed and then we used it to cut some plywood as well as some branches. That kept us busy for a couple hours during the heat of the day. It actually wasn't to hot with the nice breeze and low humidity. I was shocked that Nancy still had the house open with the a/c off when I got home somewhere around 3'ish. After a nice hot shower I relaxed until it was time for our Kentucky Derby crowd to arrive.

Eric brought GG who is still having some issues with knowing she has some blockage in her carotid artery. We all think she is having some anxiety or panic attacks brought on by this concern. Niece Arriane and husband Errol came up from Miami and Amy, Tyler and the kiddos came as well as Betsy after work. I grilled brats and Nancy had made a huge fresh salad as well as GG made her potato salad and Nancy also made a large batch of chocolate mocha walnut cookies for the dessert. I actually ate two of them and they were very tasty. The meal was sumptuous to say the least. We all picked a horse and put a couple bucks in a pot and Arianne and Amy split 32 bucks as they picked the winner. I didn't even see the race as I was outside grilling but I had good commentary from the boisterous crowd inside. The favorite horse never won but our pick after leading most of the race fell to third place.

Well we all sat around and digested after eating and the kiddos and I headed outside to the back yard as it was just beautiful out until just about dark when the mosquito's showed up with avengeance. What a beautiful day and evening for Florida and we probably won't see one like this again until next fall. We tuned into to watch the Orioles beat the Ray's at the Trop 4-0. A couple of us took little cat naps and some even longer ones naps for GG and Eric while watching the finals innings. Most folks starting leaving around 10 as the older kids needed baths at home while we bathed Eliza here. I think Betsy and Nancy talked outside until close to 11 before heading in to do the finishing touches on the kitchen.

I was awaken around 2:30 to some strong pain in the area of the recent dental work and thought to myself here goes another root canal, but after some strong pain meds it dissipated and the teeth seems fine so far this morning. I'm not sure what is going on with the teeth but hopefully with all of the jarring from the saw or maybe eating on that side has caused something to not heal right. I have three more weeks or so to find out the problem before being away from my dentists, Oh well, LATER
