Wednesday Morning in Hot Muggy Florida

Well Tuesday was a catch up day after riding for 11 hours on Monday as we came back from the mountains and 50's in the morning and maybe an 80 in the afternoon. Here it's 80 in the morning and yesterday afternoon it was 92 with nearly 100% humidity. Needless to say while working outside in the early morning I was dripping sweat in just a short time and by the afternoon it was stay in the house in the a/c, oh well!!!

I did manage to mow the yards while wading through the mushy rain soaked grass. It has rained here so much this summer the shrubs and grasses have just exploded with growth. I did get the grass mowed despite having a lawn guy mow it weekly while we are in the mountains. I pulled out all of the grass and weeds in the back gardens and now I need to do the side garden today as well as work on the hedges and shrubs. Despite the threat of rain for most of the morning and we did get a few sprinkles which actually helped to keep me cool while pulling weeds the rain stayed away in the afternoon and the bright sunshine really warmed things up.

Amy, GG and Eliza Faye came for lunch and we had a grand time with her. She is so cute and starting to put words and sentences together. We watched our favorite kid video while she sat on my lap and she would just look up at me at times and smile as she remembered doing this back before we left in May. We had such a grand time together. Tyler came by on his lunch hour and got our WIFI up and running so that Nancy can now use her Ipad. After they left to pick up Ava and Sam at school we headed out to the new super Wal-Mart in our area for some birthday shopping for Annsley and Gabe. We found bikes and helmets to match for each of them so we will celebrate with a pool party when we get back from out west and before we head back to the mountains the end of this month.

I think I will stay away from the pickle ball court as my knee hasn't fully recovered from the hyper extension it suffered a couple weeks ago as it still has some swelling. I will need to ride my bike to get some cardio workout after getting the yards in shape, plus I want to be able to hike and sight see at Yosemite next week while out west. We headed up to visit with Dan and Carol after supper and then spoke with the Tracy's who are at the vacation house in Lake Tahoe where we will be staying for nearly two weeks. Many thanks to Kathrine's brother for allowing us to use his place at no cost. They are getting ready for us and have planned out much of the vacation to that area. I'm thrilled Nancy will get to see some of the western part of our nation and of course we always have a great time when the 6 of us get together.

Well that was about it for Tuesday as we make plans on whose is taking and then picking us up at the airport as well as what to pack with our weight limitations for our luggage. At least with Southwest our bags fly free, LATER
