Monday Morning... Dec.9th

Well Sunday was another gorgeous day that started early for me as I headed out on my bike around 5:30 AM for the college to help with the load in for BridgePoint Church. There was a bit of a nip in the air which by late afternoon and evening was gone and the a/c was turned back on again, some one is still having hot flashes at times, oh well. She is also having a root canal on the tooth the dentist drilled down for a crown on Wednesday. So far Tylenol has kept her comfortable enough over the weekend but the nerve went south. It seems every tooth this dentist fits for a crown goes south and I'm beginning to wonder about his abilities, oh well.

I got back to the house after the load in a little before 7'ish and did my morning routines before getting ready to head back to the college for two services and then to give blood. I sat in and worshipped the first service then worked the second one at the front greeting, hugging and hand shaking. While the service was going on I gave blood and then helped pack up the outside greeting station. Nancy dropped me off around 12:30 at home while she headed out shopping an item on sale for one of the grands and then a stop at Publix's.

I hand watered the garden as the nip in the air was gone and the sun was shining brightly with a gentle breeze then I settled into the Bucs game. I must first say they won or the other team lost because the Bucs gave up 4 interceptions . Our QB is good when he is good but oh so bad when he is bad. He has all the records on passing in one game but the most turnovers in all of football, oh well. They got knocked out of a chance for the playoffs again which is usual for the past couple of years but maybe they will have a winning season as they have now won three in a row.

We had our volunteer BridgePoint Christmas Party at the Nymark's palatial house. There must have 60-70 folks there all in one huge open living/dining/kitchen room and all very comfortable with at room enough for another 25 or so folks. It was a catered supper with a Mexican theme and folks brought dishes. The taco meats; chicken and beef as well as the cheeses, lettuces, tomato's,  etc were delicious and plentiful and Nancy made and brought a huge dish of Mexican rice which we all love. She actually made two which requires a lot of prep work so we have one leftover for this week. The dessert table was plentiful as well and I must stop immediately my craving with my sweet tooth as I tasted several.

We had a 10 dollar gift exchange which was a riot with so many folks kids included. W made out as we gave two gag gifts with 10 dollar Chick filet cards and received two gifts with just what we gave plus some decant dark chocolate candy. The party started at 4:30 and went until 7:30. A couple of us corn hole players got in a couple games and my partners and I smoked everyone we played including neighbor Dan. Their back yard has a jungle jim playhouse with everything for the kiddos. There were plenty of them from babies to school age middle school kids plus lots of teenagers. We dropped Dan and Carol off around 8'ish then I gave Paw Paw a call as it was his 92nd birthday. He was on the way home with Pat and Keith after eating out with Mike and Dee at the Cracker Barrel. That seems to be one of his favorite places as is ours. It wasn't long I was horizontally watching the late NFL game which was looking bad for the Seahawks when I shut the lights out at half time, LATER
