Friday Morning

Well Thursday saw us with a little cooler weather enough that I needed an extra shirt when I rode out to the rec on my bike. There was a strong breeze from the north which made it feel even colder despite the temps only in the 50's to start the day. There were a few clouds around and at times it looked as if could rain, but we stayed dry once again.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6'ish roll out. I did my morning routines that started with a handful of Nutrilite vitamins and supplements washed down with a cup of hot green tea laced with the herb turmeric while I posted this ramble. Afterwards I spent some quiet time with my Creator in humble thanksgiving and lifting up those I know and love who are hurting. I spoke with Paw Paw for a few minutes at the new ALF in Stephen City, Va. and he sounded good except the change in weather had his knee hurting. His younger brother Frankie who is 80 was there visiting with him on his Paw Paw's 89th birthday. He was impressed with this facility and the receptionist was very cordial on the phone to me and then took the phone down to his room so he could talk. Hopefully he will get a phone in his room as yesterday was his first day there.

I headed out to the rec on my bike around 8'ish and got in two hours of continuous pickle ball play. Four of us A players had the one challenge court in action so we never left the court except for drinks during the two hours. What a great workout and I left with a wet shirt. I came home and hand watered the gardens and the new recently transplanted romaine seedlings look great. It wasn't long until Amy dropped Eliza Faye off and she and Nancy headed to the mall to Christmas shop. Amy and her family are leaving next Saturday for Kansas to spend the holidays with Tyler family so we will celebrate Christmas early with them. Eliza Faye is so cute and she is into playing with the doll house and her doctor toys. She is so easy to watch and occasionally wants her "snacks". I pulled a nice mess of collards for the first time this year and cut up an onion and 1/4 pound of bacon and then sauteed' that until the leaves had wilted down and then added a box of chicken broth and let that simmer for about 4-5 hours, yeow were they ever delicious. Nancy thought they were the best ever in flavor and tenderness. They were very good and it was almost like a collard soup with the extra chicken broth.

I grilled a bone-in pork chop to accompany the collards and what a fine tasting meal. After the clean up we settled into the Fox Cable News channel until it was shower time. I did watch the Trump "thank you" speech in Iowa and he is already making good on some of his campaign promises. The liberals are going crazy with his appointments but to their credit they deserve this with the incompetence of Obama the last 8 years. He loaded up so much regulations that strangled businesses and made it difficult for companies to keep employees and for companies to stay in the states. Already much is being done and now our enemies are seeing a president who will stand up to them and Iran is so afraid he will cancel the deal which Obama gave them along with much of our money. He is aligning with the Russians to wipe ISIS off of the map who is sponsored by the Iranians.

I'm so excited for this incoming administration that will be a force to be reckoned with as this inept bunch leaves D.C. Never in our history have we been so weak in the eyes of the world and now the special interest groups are on there way out as well. The American workers will be put first who have been maligned since Obama took office. Hopefully the congress will with some strong leadership actually govern for the first time since the Reagan days. We need leaders who will do away with this political correctness and stand up to the biased media. We learn more everyday how they colluded with the Clinton's to guarantee her election. It's a disgrace for what they put the nation through with their secular progressive ideals and now Trump points them out an America sees them for their shady reporting and many time "fake news". Thankfully Fox is still unbiased and reports the real news.

Well I tuned into the NFL and watched a little of the Chiefs beating up on the Raiders in the first half and the Lightning were getting blown away as well so at 10 I turned the lights out, LATER
