Well Sunday was once again another very nice day in the sunshine state. Temp's hovered around the 70 degree mark for most of the day after a 50's start. There was plenty of sunshine with no humidity which makes for great weather. We didn't make the trip to Tampa for Element as this was house church Sunday which means there was no gathering at the warehouse on this fifth Sunday of the month. Most of our house church family where away for the holiday out of state so we met up with our daughter Amy's family at our old church in Seminole where they have continued to worship since we decided to support our son, Bobby who started Element over 6 years ago.
Wow were we ever made to feel welcome by lots of familiar faces and there were lots of new faces as well. They have done a beautiful job remodeling the children's area and we saw lots of new little ones there as well. We sat with Ava Mae as she is now moved up to the big church with the adults. Amy worked the children's area in Sam's class and of course we saw and loved up on little Eliza Faye. Pastor Mike had a good message about each of us and how we can be the spirit of Christ not only in our church's but in every relationship. This being their 5th Sunday we were able to take communion with them. After the service we headed out and then Nancy dropped me off and picked up her mother and went shopping until late afternoon.
I settled into the NFL with the windows and doors open and saw the Buc's play lousy once again after building a nice 10 point lead. We just do not have a reliable quarterback and I think the lack of coaching is hurting us as well. We were driving to set up the winning field goal in the last seconds when we were penalized for too many players on the field which took us out of field goal range, oh well. Another loss puts us with the bottom of the teams in all of football.
Nancy made several purchases for the grand kids as well as some things she needed for the house. Our toaster was on its last leg as well as our dishwasher ruined drinking glasses. She ate out with her mother at Chili's and I grilled a couple hamburgers which held me the rest of the day. I did snack a little later in the evening with some pretzels and nuts with my glass of vino when she got home. Well that was about it except for hand watering the gardens and catching up on some reading in between games. I'm heading back to the rec this morning for some pickle ball, LATER
