Well I must say Tuesday started out rather normal but as the day progressed especially in the evening we were both fit to be tied as the expression goes with Bright House; our cable, phone and Internet provider. I will get back to them later which effected the whole evening and our ability to get a rest full night and any sleep.
The morning was much the usual with a 6'ish or little before wake up. I just cannot get this internal clock to quit going off at around that time each morning, oh well! After my usual routines of a few quiet moments and a lite breakfast I got ready to head out to the rec on my bike for 2 plus hours of pickle ball. We had a full crew with really good players and the shirts were soaked by 10 when the second group of players arrived for their time slot in the gym. It was a warm morning with temps in the low 60's to start the day with bright sunshine but as the day wore on the skies clouded up and a cool breeze came in from the north which brought out long sleeves and lite jackets.
I harvested 3 types of lettuces, beet greens, spinach and kale for a huge garden salad and Nancy later added cabbage, sweet red peppers, carrots, celery and tomato's to complete the salad fixin's. Yeow was that ever a delicious lunch with a scoop of chicken salad that GG had put together and brought with her when Amy picked her up for lunch. Little Eliza Faye's cold seems to be getting better but now she is cutting more teeth so she is drooling and is a bit fussy. Sam is growing so fast and now he is into video games on Nancy's Ipad. After lunch and the cleanup I read until it was time to head over to GG's and clean up her fallen oak leaves. Nancy and GG took off to Sam's Club and I took my mower and bagger and sucked up several bags of leaves and then mulched them down to just 2 bags which I will use in my garden for compost. The technician from Bright House was to be at GG's between 4 and 6 to restore her phone service so I wanted to be there for them in case they came early. GG had to leave for a rehearsal at 4:30 with her singing group so Nancy and I volunteered to wait for the tech.
Well I left Nancy at GG's around 5:30 and came home to unload the truck and to start supper thinking he would be there any time; NOT. I finally called Nancy's cell phone and then called BH again and the rep told me the technician was slotted for 6 to 8 PM not 4 to 6. That was another lie as well. They never showed by 8:30 so I called again and the rep told us the technician came to the house and no one was there. Well that was another big lie so we spent 4 1/2 hours waiting for a no show. By the time she got home we ate some supper around 8:45. That did not suit well with Nancy's digestive system or mine as eating that late kept us awake most of the night plus Nancy was scheduled for jury duty this AM as well which is something out of the norm. She also got her heart monitor which was delivered by UPS and it was on the front porch while we were at GG's which said when opened she was to activate the monitor right away. We decided to start that after her presence at jury duty(today Wed.) as it was too late to read all about the system, try to eat and then get some rest after calling BH about GG's phone service. Needless to say they have now scheduled a time slot for her at 8AM to noon today of which she, GG will have to be present.
We are thoroughly disappointed with BH and their incompetence and I will surely render a complaint with those schedulers. Luckily I remembered their names and learned the tech's quit for the day at 8 in the evening. I never received a call back from BH to confirm this new appointment but did call about the number and learned through a recording this new scheduled time slot. What a sour note the day ended on after such a beautiful start, LATER
