Well this month is moving right along and so it the amount of sunlight each day. Its now dark when I roll out in the morning before 6'ish whereas a few weeks ago it was day light and the evenings now are growing darker much sooner. The summer is waning it seems although you would never know that in Florida as it still hotter than a firecracker for most of the day.
I started the day much the usual to my routines of a cup of hot tea while I post this ramble and then some quiet time with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting several up for comfort and healing. All seem as well as can be expected and there has been what seems great improvement in Kathryn's lungs as she was on the phone with Nancy yesterday. She sounds much improved after several months of severe lung damage. I headed out around 7:30 on my non stop solo hike to the top of the mountain. Nancy and I never did take our together longer hike in the afternoon for some reason. Oh I know, because we had rain and a thunder storm during the afternoon and she doesn't like to hike any close to after eating for tummy reasons.
I piddled around the yards and gardens after breakfast until lunch time catching up on some honey do's and then we settled into reading outside on the porches before and during the rain after lunch. The temps dropped so quickly I had to put a flannel shirt and wore it until supper time. We had some of my fresh picked green beans along with pork tenderloin chops. We had a garden fresh salad for lunch with avocados, fresh cucumbers and radishes, yeow was that ever delicious. We definitely eat fresh from the garden with my lettuces, kale and Swiss chard as the base. The cukes are so sweet and tender an I'm picking several daily.
I tuned into the Ray's game vs Boston after supper and they were losing until the last couple innings when the bats came to life again and they won by 4 runs. We are now up 5 games over the Red Sox's, LATER
This pic was during the rain only after a huge down pour just moments before which looked like a sheet
