Well Saturday was another hot day here with temps in the upper 90's and the index must have been over a hundred and its supposed to be that way again the rest of this week. We did get a small shower which lasted only minutes and did cool it down for a few minutes. It was another fun day here with sister Dee and Mike as we had the other two sisters down for a shrimp boil and to celebrate Dee's belated birthday on the 22nd and then mine on the 6th of next month; more on that later.
I started the morning with a 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding with this post. I skipped any morning breakfast as I need to cut back but made up for it around 11'ish with some leftover chicken salad and some crackers to hold me for the big meal around 3ish when Dee and Mike put together a huge pot of boiled shrimps with corn on the cob, kielbasa and oven tatters plus a tray of fresh veggies. Now that was some fine eatin' and then we had a cheese cake with fresh fruit as the toppings a couple hours later that Nancy had made at the cabin and brought with us.
Well Josie made Hawaiian leis for everyone and then we started talkin' old times and opened gifts and took lots of pics. It was a fun time and then we shared some old stories about folks who have long gone and it was getting on toward evening when every one left for home. We got into another hand, knee and foot game and the guys finally were able to pull out a win which went down to the wire. It was close to 10 when we finished so I hit the shower and then some horizontal lab, LATER
