Sunday Evening

Well we made it back to Florida in record time at 11 1/2 hours, now that 301 in Florida being almost completed with 4 lanes. The traffic was light as we breezed through Charlotte at 5:30 in the morning after a 4 'o'clock start. We got word just as we entered I-77 that Nancy' mom, GG had passed away about the time we were leaving the cabin. Nancy spoke with her brother Eric for the next hour or so which made the time go fast. We did stop just south of Old Mill S.C. for fuel and a walk around the inside of the Flying J truck stop. It was 37 degrees when we pulled out from the cabin and it stayed cold all the way to south Georgia.

We stopped in Orangeburg S.C. for breakfast at Mickey D's before stopping again in Pooler, Ga. at the Sam's Club for fuel and a walk around the inside of the place as it was still in the 40's. We made it all the way to the Florida line before stopping at the welcome center for some fresh juice and temps in the 70's. It was perfect weather conditions. Our next stop was just north of Ocala at another Mickey D's for a light lunch before driving on in to Seminole. It was about 3:30 when we pulled into the drive and started to unpack. I checked on the seedlings I brought from the cabin and they did fine as did all of the frozen meat in the coolers, nothing showed any thaw at all as we had one cooler almost to the top.

I did a little yard and garden work before we headed over to the Ross house hold to visit and eat supper with them. Amy's has become a great cook and she blessed us with cube steak in a gravy with smashed taters and veggie, delicious. We headed out around 8'ish which was actually 7'ish as the time changed over night. After a hot shower I was ready for some horizontal lab by 9'ish as I did not sleep the night before. Many thanks to those who remembered us in your thoughts and prayers for safe travel, LATER
