Saturday Morning June 20th

Well Friday is one day I'm not thrilled to write about as I've pulled a muscle in my lower back and despite ice, heat, pills and rubs its not getting any better. I'm able to walk and I even used a spreader to lime the yards in the morning but the deep constant ache is very annoying an at times painful. I can feel a knot in the muscle so it must be a bad sprain or tear and now the pain is radiating down the right leg. I sure hope its not turning into sciatica or a disk issue, oh well.

The day started much the usual with a 6'ish rollout to my morning routines that start with the cup of hot tea while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Lord and Creator in thanksgiving and lifting up several for healing some of which I could use myself. All seem well as can be expected. I'm beginning to wonder if my age isn't also making itself known to me as well. Nancy made some sausage and eggs for our breakfast then I headed out to check on the gardens and yard. While posting this ramble I noticed a very large doe walk up through the yard and into the backwoods yard just taking her time as if she belonged in the yard. She apparently found nothing to her taste which is quite unusual as they love our hydrangeas when we aren't here.

I headed out to give myself some exercise for the back muscles and even managed to load up a couple sacks of lime and the spreader and gave the yards a could coat. The sun was shining and the grass was wet so I felt it would help dissolve the lime into the yard but little did I know we would have rain off and on throughout the day. We got another couple tenths of rain despite the skies initially being blue with bright sunshine to start the morning. Well the back issue kept me in along with rain showers for most of the day except we did take a golf cart ride to the mailbox in the late afternoon. The grounds are just soaked and standing water is every where despite the inclines of the area. The veggie plants are still surviving but I'm not sure for how much longer if we don't get some sunshine to dry out the ground.

Well we played cards while I iced my back through out the day and evening and that did help take away the boredom of being locked in the cabin. I looked up natural muscle relaxers and found the Rosemary herb in a tea is one so I brewed a couple cups and Chamomile tea is another muscle relaxer along with red cherry juice. I'll purchase these other two when we head to Sparta today, (Saturday). I sure hope they help as I'm missing working and hiking, LATER
