Tuesday Morning

Well Monday started out with overcast skies and then a deluge of rain that had a small river out in front of the house. We really needed that rain and and it cooled things down just a little which felt great. The morning started with us or me back to my usual routines after a 6 ish roll out. I did my quiet time then posted this ramble before a bowl of oatmeal then I had to drive to the rec as the rain storm was at its highest. We had 3 courts in action with a few yearly winter visitors and the play was good and packed with lots of action. I decided to take it slow and test the knee and it held up well. I had it braced and decided to not overdo it with just about an hour and half of play.

After the workout I headed home so Nancy could get her workout in and Amy brought Eliza by for me to watch while she grocery shopped with GG. We had a fun time as she loves to climb up on my lap and watch this one kids video. She wrinkles up her nose and smiles when she sees and hears the video. She is just a charmer and she is starting to put a few words together other than her babble. We had a grand time and finally when Nancy got back from the rec she managed to get her down for a good hour or so nap while we ate lunch.

We finished up the left overs from Saturdays supper for lunch which was superb. Nancy managed to get a few pictures of Eliza and Sam together on the front porch before they headed out to pick up Ava from school. I read the afternoon away then headed out to pick green beans and sugar peas then pulled several carrots which we had for supper. Wow were they ever tasty. That was about it for the day except for a phone call to our "mountain mom" Helen after supper. Seems the temps have reached into the upper 50's with some flowers in full bloom, but the wind has kept it cool. She hasn't been able to do much outside with the cool breeze but the grass is starting to really green up and spring is finally on the way. We are starting to get that mountain itch as well and looking forward to a change of scenery. The roads here are packed with spring breakers and snow birds.

Well Nancy has another appointment with the endodonist this morning so its looking like another root canal for her. That will be three this winter and I'm still not sure sure if I can save this tooth I had an abscess in a couple weeks ago. I'm still waiting for the dentist to finish up the root canal and then I will see if its worth spending another couple grand for a crown, oh well. Sam and Ava are getting excited about Annsley and Gabe spending the night over the week end and going to church with them. They play so well together now and its a real treat for all of them to be together. Sam was counting backwards to the number of days before they will be together and we thought that was quite unique for a pre-K student that he is able to do that. Most kids at that age can't even count correctly.

Well we tuned into the Fox News channel for updates on what is happening in the world and the radical Islamic terrorists. Seem they now have chased us(USA) out of Yemen and now are setting up spheres of influence throughout the regions backed by the Iranian's who chant "death to America" while we or this administration want to give them more concessions, while turning our backs on the only democracy in the region, Israel. I just wonder who is advising this potus but I do know that one of them is Iranian born, Valerie Jarrett. Our lack of a foreign policy is starting to give me some real concerns that we have become appeasers to the bullies in the world while distancing our allies. I have some grave concerns about the religious fanatics who call themselves Muslims. We lack any leadership with keeping us safe and those who are our friends an allies in the region from these radicals of whom the potus will not call them what they are, Wake Up America, LATER
