Well we are getting the remnants of Ida as she heads north and hopefully out of here some time today. It started raining last evening and at times a gully washer. This morning as I make this post it a constant steady rain and the forecast is for this to continue for most of the day. Behind this front there is much cooler weather with temps 10 to 15 degrees cooler. I'm glad I hauled 4 golf cart loads of top soil yesterday and distributed them into the flower beds.
I started Tuesday out with my usual 6 ish roll out to my routines of a cup of tea while I posted this ramble and then some quiet time with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting several up for healing. Our biggest concern with nephew John has eased just a bit as he is making some progress with fighting this virus. Everyone else is holding as well and our kids Bobby and Amy and their spouses Katie and Tyler are nearly 100 % and on the way to a complete recovery with out the shot, except for Tyler. We have opted to not take the vaccine and let our immune system deal with the virus. I do have issues with the vaccine and with most all vaccines in general except for a few. We had heard every side of the issue but any thing this gov't pushes; I question totally. Enough said.
I got in my solo non stop hike to the top of the mountain once again having a conversation with GOD and making it known that we who love this nation, our families and this culture desperately need Him to intervene once again. I'm at a loss as to how we have become such a degenerate nation with corrupt politicians and teachers who are indoctrinating our kids to hate this nation. Now we are leaving Americans in harms way to be butchered by the vile and evil terrorists who hate US(A) and having our military stand down and leave them there. Nothing is sacred any longer, even life as seen by those who kill the unborn and make it a platform to run for office. The once great civilization of the Roman Empire fell because of internal degradation and its not being taught or used as an example for America down ward fall. GOD HELP US.
Well I finished a Jack Reacher read in the afternoon and then Mike and Linda who bought the Conley cabin came by with their beautiful golden retriever, Buddy for a short visit on their golf cart. I had stopped and visited with them during one of my top soil runs which is just down the road from their place. Steve came for supper and whupped us both afterwards in two games of 5 Crowns. Nancy made a delicious blueberry cobbler from the berries I picked before noon for our dessert, after a delicious meal of goulash made with fresh peppers and tomato's from the garden. Steve likes to be home before dark so after he left I tuned into the Ray's vs Red Sox game and they won 8-5 again with the bats and decent pitching. I soon hit the shower around 10'ish as the rain was evident on the tin roof and then some horizontal lab shortly afterwards, LATER
