Friday Morning Oct 4th

Well Thursday turned out to be another beautiful Fall day with cool temps to start the day and by mid morning it had cleared off with bright sunshine and blue skies and temps in the upper 60's and by late afternoon 70's. We are sure going to miss these temps in about two weeks as its still hot and humid in Florida. We attended our couple class at 7 and while attendance was down we had some lively discussions on GOD's Word.

I started the day with my usual 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times after posting this ramble to give thanks for another and to honor my lord Jesus, as well as to lift up several by name and regions who are suffering greatly. Most of my named folks are holding and now we are learning those devastated by this storm are being abandon by FEMA and this corrupt administration because the funds allocated for disaster relief, have been used to import and support illegals aliens. This is so criminal its hard to believe there are still folks who support this bunch in D.C.

I headed out after breakfast to work in the yards and gardens. I weed whacked down two more flower beds and then hauled top soil to replenish them as well as raked up a couple more loads of pine needles to cover the beds for the winter. I only have the main garden to clean out and to cover with pine needles then the outside gardens will be ready for the winter and the 7 months we will be gone. The pine needles have become such a popular way to keep the grasses and weeds from taking over the beds and make it so much easier when we return the end of May for the the growing season. It use to take us several days to just clear the garden of unwanted weeds and grasses, but now I just rake off the pine needles and the gardens are ready for tilling and then sowing.

Neighbor Bob came with his ATV and his road leveling pull behind machine and did our driveway, wow this machine does a fantastic job and our driveway looks as good as using Gerald's tractor with the box blade. I took a container of water up to Billy's at the top of the mountain as they still had no electricity to help with their lack of water. They finally got power restored a couple hours later and a couple in our evening class is still on a generator with this post. Its just been an inconvenience in reality for us here in our circle, compared to the total destruction in certain areas west of us where death has become prevalent as well as total destruction by the floods and landslides. It will be years for these areas and many towns as well as private homes that will never recover. Never would we have thought this could or would happen here in the mountains, LATER
