Well we woke up to temps in the low 50's and it stayed cool for most of the day especially in the shade. I think we saw the low 70's at the highest of the day with tons of sunshine and blue skies and no humidity. Wow, what a change and over night. Saturday was basically a work day but we did visit the new baby boy at the Frankis house around 4'ish for a couple hours and he is such sweet baby. Skylar was very sweet as well and she is adjusting to having a baby brother. We took them supper then stayed and visited a couple hours before heading home and eating the same thing we took them for supper.
I started the day with a before 6 rollout to my usual morning routines that start with some quiet time after posting this ramble to give thanks and lift several up by name. All seem as well as can be expected and we got a call from Walt Hampton just as we were pulling into the Frankis house. We forgot to call him back but he mentioned he had been in the hospital for a spell. We will need to call him back today. Everyone else seems to be holding. I did my solo hike to the top of the mountain finishing up my morning talk with GOD and venting my concerns for our nation. This current crooked administration is violating the constitution daily and destroying the very essence of our freedom from a tyrannical government by using the FBI and the DOJ to go after political folks and putting the nation into economical chaos.
I piddled around in the gardens and flower beds and then gave Nancy's new garden house a coat of polyurethane and put it up in the flower bed out back and then it was time to kill more yellow jacket bees which I did with a fly swatter. I took out a couple dozen below the deck as they tried to get back into their nest which I had blocked with a gas soaked rag. I think I wiped them out.. We didn't do much for a couple hours except porch set and read until it was time to make the dinner we were taking over to Jake and Katelyn's.
We had such a nice visit with them holding and feeding little Seth and of course playing outside with Skylar who is such a sweet loving little girl. I watched the Ray's finally win against the Orioles in baseball.
Today its church day at Cornerstone and then a run by the library after a lunch out at the Pizzeria and a stop at Food Lion before heading back to the cabin, LATER
