Friday Morning Sept 11 2015

Well Thursday found me awake and ready to roll before 6 and I never stopped until 11'ish last evening. It was another busy day and I headed outside after my usual morning routines, a few quiet moments and then the posting of this ramble to start working. It was once again in the low 80's with very high humidity and I wanted to get an early start before the heat made it too difficult to get any work done.

I headed out to the side garden and pulled weeds then edged around the fence line. I did my good deed for the day by chopping up a pile of dead trees branches for my neighbor and loading them into a couple trash cans for the trash man's pickup today. Seem they were left whole along curbside and they(trash man) will not pick them up unless they are in a can or tied into a bundle. She(Carol) was thrilled and very appreciative of my efforts. She is a new neighbor and lives there with her high school student son who never does anything but play video games, oh well!!!

I was dripping sweat by the time these jobs were completed. I had the yards and gardens in good shape so that when we come back in November it won't be such a big chore. I changed into dry clothes and we began to pack our bags for our trip out west today. It's been a while since I've flown; I think nearly 8 years but I at one time in my younger days I was flying 125 hours a month with the Air Force on a C-141 A aircraft and practically lived out of a B-4 bag(suitcase). Nancy had packed enough stuff to live for a month away and I'm hoping my weight calculations with me holding her cases while on the bathroom scales are close to being accurate and not exceed the 50# limit per case. I got my boarding pass done on line and Carol and Dan who are flying with us printed them out for us along with their own passes.

We had GG, Amy and Eliza(LeLe) for lunch and we had a grand time with them and then GG and the whole Ross Family came for a supper of grilled chicken, taters, broccoli and salad with brownies for dessert. The Perry Family from across the street came over and shared the great news they were having a new born in March and it was a girl. We are thrilled for them and their only child is an 8 year old boy named Phoenix who is Ava's age and those two are great friends. John and Tyler once roomed together before either were married. We were all picking out girl names as they haven't decided yet.

Well the supper was awesome in taste and after the cleanup we said our goodbye's and made ready for some last minute preps for our leaving for two weeks this morning. I know we are leaving on the anniversary of the infamous day in history when radical Muslims took over airplanes and murdered innocent folks by crashing them into the World Trade Centers. Such a waste of life and yet these people want us to believe they are the religion of peace, oh well!! I'm taking my laptop and hopefully it will work while being away out west. We got a call from Kathryn in Lake Tahoe that Yosemite Park has a fire burning out of control with about 500 acres in flames, yikes that may put a damper on our staying in a motel near the park. I'm sure we will find plenty of parks to explore if not this one, LATER If all goes well I will post this ramble from some where around 6500 feet in altitude in the Sierra Mountains of Nevada, LATER
