Well Saturday was spent for the most part getting ready for Amy and family to arrive from Florida. They did get in around 5:30 after a long ride and most of it with out the a/c working properly. They spent thousands of dollars with a local shop and its still not working properly. Hopefully they can make it to Kansas with out being over heated as it freezes up about every 45 minutes, unbelievable.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 rollout to my routines that start with some quiet times to honor my Lord, giving thanks for another day and lifting several up by name. All seem well and the Ross Family made it here safely. They loved the cool air after being in hot sticky Florida and Rocky never stopped running around until bed time. He is a huge animal but almost too friendly as he plows you over at times with his wanting to be in contact and close to you.
I had two racks of pork ribs on the smoker since 1'ish and they were cooked to perfection along with oven taters, half runner green beans and a fresh garden salad. Nancy had a fresh batch of ginger snaps which the grands devoured. We ate outside on the deck as the evening was awesome with cool dry air. Actually everyone put on a sweat shirt except Tyler and Sam. After supper and the cleanup we took our first hike to the top of the mountain and Rocky ran through the woods and had a grand time romping through out the hike.
I got a camp fire going after our hike and the kiddos along with Nancy and Amy had smores. It was a great time for everyone and as darkness fell so did the temps. Around 9:30 I hit the showers and soon called it a night as it was shower time for everyone. I had put in a full day of weed whacking, mowing and putting up a couple new blinds and several trips up and down the yards through out the day and hand watering the gardens and flower beds, LATER
