Friday Morning Sept 6th

Well Thursday started out on the chilly side with temps in the 40's and a breeze with some clouds which made it feel even colder, but as the day wore on it, became very nice with plenty of sunshine and warm temps. It was still cool in the shade but very pleasant. I started the day with my usual well before 6 rollout to my usual routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort and healing. I have to add my son, Bobby as he has an ear infection which is in his sinus and in pain, everyone else is holding with this post. I'm still have a few issues with the arms and hands from all the saw vibrations which I think is getting better with exercises for carpal tunnel syndrome.

I headed out after posting my many social media responses to stretch on the back porch and then off into the yards to check on the gardens for deer damage and to walk my mile around the perimeter. Sure enough the brat doe was back and ate off once again all the jalpeno pepper plants in the backwoods garden. I even saw her when I was grilling pork chops last evening when she suddenly came down from the woods. It was daylight and she must have been having a desire for more garden veggies. We stared at each other and then when I made a move to have Nancy bring her phone to get a picture she turned and bolted into the woods. She is the largest doe I've seen in awhile and quite healthy looking and its no wonder because there isn't a thing in my veggie or flower gardens that she doesn't eat. Well there are a couple herbs she doesn't like but that about it it.

I decided since I had burned on Wednesday and the stump was some what dried out that to burn two days in a row would be awesome and I did. The fire felt good even in the hottest part of the day and I did burn in down but hopefully one more burn will put it at least low enough to cover it with dirt and grass seed. This stump was huge and nearly waist high to start, whereas the first stump was just about 6 inches in height but huge around. This has become quite the chore thus far but I've cleaned up a ton of dead wood trees and old building materials from out under the front and back porch storage areas.

Well our Thursday night couples class was cancelled due to several illness so we had a delicious supper of parsley tatters and pork chops on the grill and then I settled into reading afterwards until the NFL came on after a hot shower. Neighbor Gerald came by briefly for his mail and he and Phylis leave for nearly a month to Europe next Monday. He will bless us with some venison when he gets back that will hold us for the winter, LATER
