Tuesday Morning

Well Monday was a busy fun filled day that saw us actually getting some exercise while learning all about the history of what once was known as Charles Town to eventually becoming Charleston as we walked the historic district. It was a beautiful day with temps reaching the lower 80's but with little humidity. We learned so much in this tour while the guide worked off of tips. He had a maximum of 20 folks and was licensed by the city to lead us throughout and his knowledge was very good plus he showed us the friendly nature of most Charlestonians.

We started the day with a 6'ish wake up and then did our respective morning routines of spending some time with our Creator lifting up those we know and need. I did speak with Paw Paw last evening as Dee was visiting him at the rehab home. He sounded much better and stronger and mentioned they had him working on getting his knee back into shape as well as clearing up his infections. The drain tubes are out and he is eating good and that's and answer to prayer. We headed down to the dining room in the hotel which doesn't offer a continental breakfast so we tried the food here and the cook make a very tasty omelet for breakfast and the grits were the best ever. That breakfast held us until late evening when we dined at Sticky Fingers on the Sullivan's Island. Well this was a rib house and we shared 4 different flavors of rub and sauce flavored ribs which fell off the bone. The best ribs I've ever eaten and the collards greens were to die for as well. The baked tater and fries as well as the cole slaw were all very tasty and fresh. It was a little pricey when compared to other places but well worth the price. we waddled out some time around 8'ish and made a stop at Walgreens which just down the road.

After finishing the walking tour we were near the Blue/Green building where we were in a room with 20 other couples to hear the program which in essence is a time share but not nearly like the olden programs where you had a designated week or so out of a year. Today that has all changed but we don't travel enough staying in hotels and motels to make it worth the initial investment. We got out after about two and a tour of their facility which has been renovated from the 300 year building to very modern surrounding. The original wood floors are still evident and the uneven hallways give the place so much charm. While waiting to go into this meeting another salesman for a different travel company offered us all kinds on incentives to hear their 45 minute talk which we will do this morning. This place is tourist friendly and if you have the will power to not sign on a dotted line you will receive some great money saving passes.

Well that was about it for the day as I need to close this out and get ready to leave for our next talk, LATER
