Sunday Morning Sept 15th

Well this month is half way gone and we have only 35 more days here at the cabin, where did this time go and so quickly, oh well. I started the day out with my usual before 6 rollout to my morning routines that begin with some quiet moments to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name after posting this ramble. All seem as well as can be expected due to health issues and ages. Nancy made a mountain breakfast around 9'ish after I did my morning stretches on the back porch and then walked at least a mile around the perimeter of the property getting in some much needed exercise. We have eaten ourselves fat this summer as everything tastes great here and we started the eating with a ham, eggs and blueberry pancakes. I harvested the last of the berries for this year for the cakes, but we have several bags frozen for future cobblers and desserts, just what we need need for the spare tires, oh well.

I headed out after breakfast to work in the wine berry bushes like I did with the black raspberry bushes a week ago; cleaning out the dead vines and pulling out the weeds and grasses. The temps were perfect for working outside which was cool enough to keep the gnats and bugs at bay. It was supposed to be rainy all weekend and we did see some fog and mist but nothing in the rain gauge and the afternoon and evening was pure sunshine and blue skies. I actually hand watered the gardens in the late evening.

We took a golf cart  ride out to the mailbox and and made a tomato stop at Tim's place at the foot of the driveway before heading to the Heglar's and to return her water jug she left at the house last night while playing sequence. We visited with them for a spell before heading back to the cabin and I piddled around outside until 1'ish when we had some some salsa and chips for our lunch. That breakfast held us good. I did some sitting on the deck in the bright sunshine reading and cat napping for the afternoon until it was supper time which was leftovers. Afterwards I headed up into the backwoods to check out some lighter knot caches I had found a couple months back. I love walking and framing around in the woods and noticed tons of fresh deer dropping and especially buck manure. Its quite different from the doe droppings as it looks like rabbit poop whereas buck manure look like a smaller version of cow patties. (I know this sparked your interest)

I tuned into the Ray's game in Cleveland and they blew the chance to win with some base running error's and poor pitching. They will need some help even if they get to the post season play. After the game it was shower time and then some reading as I started a new read titled SHIVER by Karen Robards. Its a page turner. Well today its corporate worship both on line at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Va. at 8:15 and at our local Cornerstone Fellowship in Sparta at 10, LATER
