Well Friday was another routine day with my before 6 roll out to my cup of hot tea while I posted this ramble and then spent some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting several up by name for comfort and healing. I did speak with Kathryn briefly as she was about to leave the driveway and head out for a doctor appointment. I was on my way home from the Rec. She has a long way to go to recover from this virus with her lungs being so inflamed and still congested that she needs oxygen constantly.
I headed out to the Rec on my bike for two solid hours of play and left around 10 for a stop at the library. I picked up a couple new reads and one is a true crime read titled WE KEEP THE DEAD CLOSE by Becky Cooper. It's about an unsolved murder of a coed at Harvard back in the 60's and the ordeal of this author in solving it after so many years. I'm about half way through it thus far in one sitting as thats what I did after lunch until we got a surprise visit from old friends who use to live across the street with Bill and Carol Heckman. Toni their daughter and husband Mark sold their house in Michigan and are moving to Florida but there is nothing here in their price range. They are staying with her aunt who lives in the 'hood and they stopped by to visit. We use to play cards with them back in the day and when ever they came for a visit in the winter. Winter in Michigan is no longer for them and I can't blame them for moving out of that state. They were here for an hour or so as we caught up on all thats happened with them and their family.
Nancy pan fried a couple salmon filets for supper which were awesome and along with some caned peas and spaghetti noodles of which I added some pesto, yikes was that ever delicious. Betsy stopped by for an hour or so after supper on her way home from the post office. She was supposed to retire but has decided to keep working another year. After she left I hit the showers and watched the Ray's game on delay which they finally won a game against the Yankee's. We are heading to Brandon later on this AM for an 11o'clock baseball game so I'll go to the Rec for an hour for some pickle ball, LATER
