Wow is it ever chilly, damp and drizzling rain once again. We are without out a doubt no longer in a drought mode here in the mountains. The driveway has been washed out and water is actually laying on the side of the yard. We need some warm sunshine and lets send this rain south to Florida as my yard there is brunt to a crisp.
Thanks to all who prayed for traveling mercies for the Ross Family as they pulled in around 4'ish. Rocky their big puppy Bull Mastif launched out of the car and never stopped for an hour as he ran, stretched and seemed to be so happy to be unconfined. I wonder if he remembered being here in January. The rain did cease for awhile as we unloaded and then wondered around the property. There were lots of golf cart rides and we even got in a manly hike to the top of the mountain as the girls all stayed back.
I grilled marinated chicken breasts and along with black beans and yellow rice and a fresh salad as we dined well. Nancy had a container of ginger snaps for when they first arrived and then after supper she made chocolate chip cookies fresh out of the oven which were delicious. The temps were really cooling down for the evening as darkness fell and more rain was dripping off the roof before bedtime and then again as we rolled out this Sunday morning, LATER
