Tuesday Morning

Well Monday was a rather warm and muggy day with temps up into the upper 80's but the humidity was back with vengeance. The morning was rather nice but my mid day, yikes it felt almost like summer. I did get in a workout at the rec. then watered the gardens while waiting for Amy and Eliza to come for lunch. After lunch I took GG shopping while I picked up the new arms for the broken fan and then took her home. Nancy and I had a date at Bridgepoint Church where a special service was held for just the volunteers or those who want to volunteer. I would estimate there was between 2 and 300 folks in attendance.

The day started on Monday with my usual routines around 6'ish with my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble. Then I spent some quiet moments with my Creator lifting up those I know and love for healing. It seems the VA has released Paw Paw after the tests results showed no further infection so now he is at his daughter place for the time being. Once they release you they want you gone and of course he was ready to get out as well. The girls will decide in the near future where he will go and when but its a wonder and a blessing he is out of the hospital for the first time in ages. We will see how this plays out with his health for now.

I had a good workout at the rec on the pickle ball court for an hour and half before calling it a morning. I stopped off at the library for a couple of new Ken Follett books before heading home. Nancy was just leaving for her morning walk through the hood so I hand watered the gardens and piddled around in the garden. I have a bud on the egg plant and lots more green tomato's set as well. The lettuces look as if they and the recently transplanted kale seedlings are going to make. The beans are climbing the wire fence and the peppers have put on new leaves. I did notice that finally a few carrot seedlings are pushing through the soil. The collards will be ready for harvesting next week as they have really added leaves. Mostly everything looks great except the okra. They for some reason seem stunned in their growth but are still green; maybe they need some extra fertilizer. I did notice the earthworms are coming back to life within the garden as the ground was so dry when we got back but with the daily waterings they seem to have come to life once again.

Well Amy made a delicious broccoli cheese soup which she brought for lunch. It tasted like the one from Panera Bread. We made lunch our big meal as we were leaving around 6:30 for the church service so we had a salad for supper with the last of the steak on top. We will be serving as greeters on Friday Dec. 23 at the evening at the Mahaffy Theatre in down town St. Pete as it holds 10K folks. We will have 2 services on Friday and 3 services on Saturday Christmas Eve. We are expecting several thousand for these service as we help with those who want to celebrate the birth of Christ and hopefully help others to get closer to GOD in their daily lives. Bridgepoint is starting another campus in our area of Seminole and the launch date is in March. We met the pastor last evening who will be leading the mission as the services will be a simulcast from the main campus where we attend now. We met two other couples last evening who will be joining us with this move to Seminole who live in our area and they are excited about this opportunity to help start this mission as are we.

Well I tuned into the NFL last night just before bedtime which was 10'ish for me. There was nothing exciting about watching these two teams so it was lights out, LATER
