Wednesday Morning

Well Tuesday found us waiting for the granite rep. to come by and show us some samples and give us an estimate but once again he was a no show but did call. He is supposed to come by later in the week and do a face to face meeting. We were a little disappointed as we were anticipating putting an order in on Monday but that never happened, oh well. We had the usual lunch crowd and then after they left we headed out to check out a kitchen display room as well as stop at Lowes for some more ideas. We did get one estimate on flooring and another rep. is coming on Thursday for another flooring estimate.

The day started with a before 6'ish roll out to my usual morning routines. I had my morning tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator lifting up those I know and love. Nancy's mom is back to walking without a walker and Paw Paw said he was up an about as well. Both are good news as they are about the same age and once you get down and quit being mobile serious problems begin to arise. I headed out before 8 for the Rec. on my bike. I got in a good hour and half workout on the pickle ball court then headed home to hand water the gardens. The temps have dropped a little and we are supposed to get only in the high 50's for the week end, Yikes finally some winter weather. We did have the windows and doors open during the afternoon.

We didn't find anything at Lowes that Home Depot didn't have, so we will stay with what we purchased. I did manage to do some yard work before supper as the rain last week brought up the weeds in the back yard plus I had lots of oak leaves to suck up and mulch for the garden. Speaking of the garden I picked another mess of half runners, lettuces, kale, green peppers and beet greens. I cleaned them for a salad. The sugar peas are starting to bloom as well so we will soon add them. The recently started Thai basil has roots I started from the stems. I have them soaking in a cup of water in the kitchen window. This basil has a most unique flavor and I love it. I brought the stems from my lunch of Pho the other day at an Asian eatery and decided to give them a try on rooting in a cup and they have.

Well that was about it for the day as we had a delicious supper of fried venison steak and gravy with Gold rice we purchased in Charleston and half runner beans, yeow did we ever eat healthy and the milk gravy with lots of pepper was fantastic. We settled into the Fox Cable News channel after the clean up and see where Mr. Trump is leaving no grass to grow under his feet in setting the country on a course of making us great again. The libs are having a fit as he has done more good for the nation than their guy did in 8 years and now he is bringing jobs, unions together and our natural resources to benefit the country as well as cutting waste and freezing federal workers in D.C. DRAIN THE SWAMP. We learned Obama on his last few minutes in office pardoned more violent drug offenders and gave the terrorist in Palestine over 200 million in cash to wage war on Israel against the advice of the congress. What a snake in the grass. I always knew he was suspect as a leader but this is outrageous. He was once a drug user and pusher in college according to his biography and now we see his love for the druggies who have permeated society. Most of these will be back in prison just like the terrorist he released. They too will be back to the battle field to wreck havoc on our troops in the fight against the radical Islamic terrorist organization that he and Hillary created, unbelievable. We actually have journalist saying when was America ever great, LATER
