Well Friday turned out to be another hot and humid day with temp's in the 90's while the mountains reached a nice 70's. Yeow, how I long for temps like that. I started the day around a 6'ish roll out as I wanted to get in another full 2 1/2 hour work out on the pickle ball court after my quiet time and a lite breakfast. It was a beautiful early morning with temps in the 70's as I rode my bike to the rec. We had a full crew most of the morning with 2 courts going and a couple waiting to get on. So there was very little down time. By the mornings end I could start to feel the 5 days in a row workout. It sure felt good to be back in action and the play was excellent as well.
After the rec I rode home to work in the yard and garden. I transplanted the tomato seedling into the ground despite it being so hot here; if they make O.K. if not I'm taking a couple with me back to the cabin and nurse them there as well. It's too much trouble to have others look after my hobby, Oh well!!!. I mowed the yards and bagged the clipping for the gardens and then sprayed Roundup along the edges of the beds and fence lines. That should help with keeping the weeds out as well as help with my neighbor who mows for me while we are gone.
Amy, Sam and GG came for lunch. While they had pizza and salad I ate a leftover fajita so as to help clean out the fridge as we leave again for a month. I watched Sam while everyone else was off to the stores once again for a couple hours. Sam is such a good boy and loves to watch movies and act out the parts as well. We had a great time together. He is getting excited about coming to the cabin and riding on the mower and golf cart with grand dad.
Well I tuned into the Rays vs the Red Sox and we took an early lead but after that it was a blow out for the Sox's as they exploded for 12 runs. Very humiliating to say the least for our team on some less than stellar play which got them into the playoffs. Hopefully they can regroup and at least make this an enjoyable 4 more games. The Braves came back after their humiliating loss and won as did the Pirates in their second games, Oh well we will see how they play today.
We headed to GG's for a supper of chicken enchiladas and salad, yeow was that ever tasty and along with Amy, Ava, Sam and Tyler stopped on his way home from work in Tampa. After the clean up we headed out around 8 PM. I tuned into another playoff game and then another before calling it a day after a shower. I wanted to get in a good nights sleep as we will get up early on Sunday and head north for 700+ miles to the cabin and hopefully some cooler temps. There is a chance we may run into some of Tropical Storm Karen on our way north as well.
Today we will head over to Riverview as we will celebrate Annsley and Gabe combined birthday parties at their other grand parents beautiful home which also has a pool. I think this will be a pool party, so I'm looking forward to a swim as well. We will take GG with us and the Ross Family will attend as well. Today will be spent packing and putting the house in order for our return in November, LATER
