Thursday Morning

Well Wednesday morning turned out to be one of those days that almost had us turning on the a/c after a somewhat chilly start. The sun was shining and the humidity was creeping back into the picture once again after a couple of very nice days that had everyone wearing long pants and long sleeve shirts. That's Florida weather in the winter time and its no wonder every one here has a cold, a cough or even the flu. I managed to get rid of my malaise with lots of Vit. C and gargling with warm salt water.

The day started with my internal alarm clock ringing me awake before 6 am, after about 15 supplements all taken with one swallow of V-8 juice and my usual morning cup of hot green tea I headed in to post this ramble and spend a few quiet moments lifting up several I know who are in need of some healing and comfort. I then headed out to the rec on my bike for 2 hours of workout on the pickle ball court. Wow has this sport taken off here at our facility and today I played with some snow birds who just joined the rec and brought with them a decent game from up north. We have such a variety of players who gather on Wednesday as it's open to all skill levels. Most of these today were good players but what was unusual was the gals out numbered the guys almost 2 to 1 at times. Initially it was the other way around when we started the game here at our rec and we have a couple really good female players.

I headed home around 10 'ish and wanted to replace my old mailbox and a new post. I've been painting the post the last couple days and had it sealed against the moisture that eventually will deteriorate it some time down the road. I borrowed my neighbors post hole digger and put it 3 feet in the ground then fastened the new white mailbox. The mailman did a double take when he approached the box to make sure he was at the right address as the old black box was hanging on by a thread.

I hand watered the gardens and got ready for Amy and her crew to arrive for lunch. I finished up some leftovers and then Eliza Faye and I played toys. She is so cute and cuddly and just looks up at you with those big blue eyes which melts my heart. She now likes to get on my lap and look at videos on the laptop especially kitty cat ones and today we also looked at some horse videos.  She walks all around the house and loves to get in any door that is closed especially the Tupperware cabinet. She will pull them out and parade around the house showing us all what she has accomplished. Sam was enthralled in a kid show on the tube but occasionally those two will roll around on the floor together when she tries to change the channel he is watching.

Well after they left to pick up Ava at school we settled into some hard reading for a couple hours before getting ready for supper. We were planning on meeting with one of our Amway team leaders at The Anderson house and bring our new neighbor Carol who is very interested in the business. Her folks were in it for years and now that she has her own cleaning business she knows the reputation of the cleaning products; however she had car trouble when she got back from Tampa and had to borrow a car to get home. Needless to say she didn't make the meeting but we introduced her to Twill Auto who may be able to help her with her vehicle issues.

We got back to the house a little before 9 and then headed for the showers shortly there after. I tuned into the last of the O'Reilly Factor and then watched Megyn. I learned where some leaders in the congress are going to step out and meet with other world leaders about the chances of Iran getting a nuclear weapon and its about time. If that country which is a sponsor of terrorism gets the bomb there will be an annihilation of Israel and then they will come after us(USA) here in the homeland. This president is constantly appeasing the radical Islamist and refuses to even acknowledge them as a threat to the world. Finally those even in his party are making a stand as we need to leave politics out of the mix and worry about those who kill indiscriminately. I applaud those who are standing for America and the safety of our nation. I didn't watch the speech he gave Tuesday night as I just could not listen to a man who is such a liar and is delusional with his self importance, LATER
