Well Sunday was an awesome day of worship, baptism, family fun and of course fine eatin' much of it took place in neighboring Hillsborough County at Element Church and Bobby and Katie's new home. We had a busy day and it was close to 7:30 in the evening before we got home after leaving at 9'ish.
The day started with my usual roll out at 6 and then my routines of a cup of hot turmeric drink for my joints, a few quiet minutes with my Creator and then an apple for breakfast. I headed out to dig up some plants and seedlings for Bobby's garden and wrap them in wet newspaper to keep them healthy until we could get them replanted later in the day.
We headed out around 9 to pick up GG as she wanted to see Bobby's new house and to see Annsley baptized at Element Church. The church was presenting the "table" which is a sharing of food brought by the folks who attend the gathering. They also were presenting several grass roots programs who were assisting with foster kids, abused women, drug rehab, food for the needy and prison releases get adjusted back into the community and to make a life with the help of the church. It was very inspiring as many who now head those programs were once caught up in the web of deceit without the difference of Christ in their lives. Afterwards we headed outside as the watering trough was filled and Bobby baptized two adults as well as Annsley and then the parents of another youngster helped with baptizing their daughter. It was a great day as four folks dedicated their lives as Christ followers.
We headed over to the new house in Brandon where Bobby and Katie have done a beautiful job repainting and remodeling their new house. It's huge with rooms everywhere along with a large yard,
pool and patio area under a screened porch. The kiddos where soon in the water as did I. All of Katie's family attended through the afternoon as did her grand parents. On a sad note her grandfather Tom missed a step and fell cutting his face and arm. The one draw back to the tri-level house is the different areas of step ups and step downs. He was able to recuperate and eventually walked to his car. We had a game of corn toss with many trying to beat Katie's dad, Bruce and his team. I teamed up with him and won as well as played against him and lost.
Bobby had pork tacos, black beans and yellow rice as well as salsa and guacamole and Nancy had two kinds of cookies and Danielle made a delicious pistachio cake. All of our family was there plus Katie's and many close friends of both families. What a great time of food and fellowship. Well we tuned into the Lightning vs Penguins and the home team was winning when it was lights out for me around 10:30, LATER
